I finally received that Amazon Giftcard in the mail. Plus another 5 dollar giftcard and I ended up with some nice toys. I, unfortunately, went a little bit overboard with all of it. I ended up spending about 80 dollars instead of the original 55 but we do have a lot of stuff coming in the mail. We have a nice new riding crop (which I’m VERY excited for. Like, really excited.) and some collars, nipple clamps, wax-play candles, rope, whip, anal plug, and basically lots of other stuff for my sub. Just the riding crop for *my* interests, though.
I also decided to join CollarMe today. I think it was a good decision. The differences between CollarMe and Fetlife are amazing, though. CollarMe is completely filled with a lot of inexperienced people who don’t really know what BDSM is. They’re just searching for BDSM cyber, really. I mean, I asked a guy if he was willing to be collared that same day (within ten minutes of talking to him) and he said, yes, of course, and what could he do to speed it up. I ended that conversation shortly thereafter. Maybe I’m just a little “serious” about all of this, but I like to think that BDSM includes a lot of trust and not just a “play partner”. Having all these sharp objects near another person – I mean, you could end up hurting someone very easily – you have to trust your partner.
Anyways, I’m going to go about linking all of the stuff up to my profile sometime soon. I’m just really excited we have all of it coming in the mail. I have an appointment to take pictures tomorrow at a local scene, and then Thursday night, I’m getting a rope lesson with a local rope expert. I’m excited. Then on Saturday, the sub and I are attending our first munch for one of the nearby BDSM groups.
