TackySexToys is one of the new sex toy retailers on the market. Carrying over 17,000 toys, TackySexToys offers anal toys, bondage items, dildos, lubes and lotions, men’s toys, lingerie, and vibrators.
The website layout is decently-easy to shop. There are some design issues that have the website not displaying at times, but it doesn’t seem to be anything that affects functionality – just doesn’t look the best.
If you want to buy lingerie, TackySexToys is not the place to do it. Each individual size is listed as a separate item listing. This is perfect fine – except the listings aren’t labeled. For an item that is available in Small through 2XL, each size has its own listing, and you have to click through all of the listings to find your proper size. It’s a nightmare.
When it comes to some of the advice the website gives and the products they sell, you may want to be wary. The “anal lube” category recommends anal numbing lubricants to “make the experience better for you”. Some time with a sex educator (or having a sex educator help write their copy) may help them come across with better, more body-friendly advice.
On a brighter note, the copy and introduction for the “Transgender” products seemed particularly inclusive and gender-friendly, so that was a nice addition to their website.
TackySexToys is attempting to offer great prices, however. They offer their “Fair Price Pledge”. If you find the toy for cheaper at another store, they’ll do their best to match the price. If they can’t, they’ll still provide a 10% discount on the item. I don’t think I’ve heard of another similar price-matching pledge in the sex toy retail world.
It looks like it might be a fine place to shop, but it still has the growing pains that small, first-starting shops tend to have. Shop with caution, but I’m interested in seeing where their retail store goes.
