Cherry Bomb Metallic G-Pop Review

The G-pop itself

THIS TOY HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY MANUFACTURER. This review has been left here for anyone seeking information about the original toy. If you’re currently looking for a similar alternative, you might consider the “Double-G Pop” available on NoMoreWetSpot. -February 2019.

I’m definitely one of those people who absolutely love trying out and seeing some of the newest sex toys on the market, and I think this definitely qualifies for “new”. It’s been around for a little while, but it’s almost like it’s an amazingly well-hidden secret. When Tabutoys started stocking it and asked me if I wanted to review it, I was all for it!

The Cherry Bomb Metallic G-Pop 1.5″ is an insertable sex toy made by Steel Vineyards. It just looks like a long-handled stick with a ball on the end of it. However, looks can be deceiving. That “stick” is made from stainless-steel and the ball is also made from stainless steel. At the end of the stick, there is a rubber handle to make gripping the rod more comfortable. The ball is 1.5 inches in diameter and the stainless-steel rod is a foot long. The ball itself is hollow on the inside and painted with a red, sparkly coating on the outside. (From my experience, none of the coating has fallen off in the slightest – even after multiple washings.)

The G-pop comes with the cutest storage idea. Because the ball of the dildo is the most fragile aspect, it comes with a padded, red-velvet pouch that tags shut with the strings on it. It houses the g-pop ball itself quite nicely. It doesn’t cover any of the rod, but it just stays to the ball. The G-Pop also comes with a small guide that includes five different languages and goes over some of the main points of the toy including cleaning and how it works.

The Cherry Bomb Metallic G-Pop was meant to be used as a g-spot toy. However, it can also be used as a p-spot toy on males as well. It looks scary at first sight, but after using it, it doesn’t look that scary at all. Plus, when you think about it, it’s only about the same size as most regular dildos – it just has a unique appearance. Plus, it actually is a pretty discreet dildo. Someone may see this and be confused, but they certainly wouldn’t automatically assume this was a dildo.

Durability-wise, you can pull on that ball all you want, but it is not coming off of the rod. I’ve tried in multiple positions, multiple times, and even employed help of the boyfriend. No matter what we tried, that ball does not come off of the stick. It reassured me quite a bit since that was my biggest worry about this g-spot/p-spot toy – losing the ball during use. The rubber handle piece will pop off if you try hard enough, but that end isn’t the end being inserted, so it’s not even a big deal. As stated before, it looks like the paint was glazed over with an extra layer of sealant (or something; I’m not a chemist), but in all of my use, it hasn’t even chipped in the slightest and shows no signs of doing so either.

So how well does it work? For g-spot play, it works amazingly. I was a little frightened of it at first, and please, for your own state of mind, lube up the toy thoroughly before you go inserting it. As long as it has lots of lubricant, insertion went fine, and it actually felt pretty pleasurable. It’s almost like anal beads for your vagina – except there’s only one bead. My g-spot is a litter deeper than most women’s, but even this toy let me feel the stimulation from my g-spot. I wouldn’t call it a “g-spot homing missile” (because that term creeps me out), but this toy definitely knows what its doing. It hits the right spots and keeps rubbing on them for some very nice pleasure.

As for a p-spot toy? The boyfriend seems to enjoy it quite a bit. He isn’t so familiar with his anal anatomy yet, so I couldn’t pinpoint it for you, but all he knows is that it feels quite good. Insertion goes pretty nicely (and actually more easily than with other toys because stainless steal doesn’t eat up lube), and as long as the G-pop stays lubricant, pulling out goes just as comfortably.

When it comes to using it internally as a g-spot toy or p-spot toy, I recommend a rocking motion instead of intense thrusting. I found that the rocking motion actually helped the toy be a lot more pleasurable than if I had been thrusting it.

The third use? (And the use I especially will be taking advantage of) The G-pop can actually work pretty well as an impact toy. Of course, it’s stainless steel, and you have to be very, very careful, but light taps with it on body parts that have fat feels almost like a massage. The G-pop should not be used anywhere where a bone is near the surface since stainless steel can actually break bones. If used responsibly, though, the G-pop provides deep muscle impact which can be difficult to find with other impact toys.

The G-pop also claims to help work your kegal muscles, but I honestly didn’t find much difference in how much vaginal muscles felt. Maybe I just have strong ones or maybe I just didn’t use it enough, but I didn’t notice much of a difference. Others may have a lot more luck with it.

Other interesting points? Unlike other stainless steel toys like njoy, the G-pop is actually pretty light-weight. Because it’s hollow on the inside instead of filled, the toy is actually pretty light-weight and easy to manuever. Because the entire toy is made from stainless steel, it can also be used with electro-stimulation toys. This can be added on to another one of your VioletWand accessories. And if you find that you’re finding the ball to be getting small? You can always upgrade to a higher-dimension ball. Since this is stainless steel, it also lends well to temperature play, so putting it in warm water or keeping it cool in the refridgerator can make for some interesting aspects of play.

Cleaning is ridiculously easy with a stainless steel toy like the G-pop. The guide recommends warm water and antibacterial soap and towel drying. It also says it is safe for the dishwasher as long as you wash it without any dishwashing powder and you keep it on the top shelf. As for lubricants, I recommend a silicone-based lubricant since they tend to last longer, but any lubricant will be safe with the stainless steel of the G-pop.

Overall, this is a pleasurable sex toy that is also unique. If you are looking for a unique sex toy that still delivers amazing amounts pleasure, the G-pop is a great choice. If you also want a versatile toy that can work on both genders equally, the G-pop is a great choice. This great sex toy shop sells it, so go on over to TabuToys to buy the Cherry Bomb Metallic G-Pop. While you’re there, check out some of their other dildos. If you are looking for something more “hardcore” than the Cherry Bomb Metallic G-Pop, check out the Stainless Steel Solid G-Pop.
