The 7-Function Remote Bullet comes with a bullet and a remote. It’s made from ABS plastic with the velvet-cote feel that’s always very soft for most toys. Both the bullet and the remote are a little over an inch long with about an inch in thickness. The remote has an antenna that comes out to (supposedly) transmit the signals of the remote better. The remote has a +/- button for speed settings, as well as an On/Off button and a “F” button for functions. The bullet is just a regular (it’s pretty plump) bullet/egg that includes a purple cord that is what receives the signal from the remote.
The packaging is very basic. No nudity and includes lots of claims about the product. Overall, a great package for the product. It includes the bullet, the remote, a 12V battery, eight watch batteries, and instructions for use.
The remote is extremely comfortable to hold in your hand. It’s actually one of the favorite remotes that I’ve ever held. It’s comfortable, the little antenna is easy to pull out, and it just overall makes you feel pretty badass holding a little vibrator remote that has an antenna. Reality unfortunately is that the buttons on the remote are pretty finicky. If you want to increase speed on the bullet, you may have to press the “+” three times before it will actually do it. Maybe it’s a problem with the wireless, maybe it’s a problem with the control – I don’t know, but I had fresh batteries in it. A neat thing about the remote is that the light does “light” up when a button is being pushed so that you will know the bullet is supposed to be receiving a transmission. The remote uses a 12V battery which is included.
The bullet itself is pretty standard. It has a screw-off bottom that allows you to slide in the batteries for it. It just takes four watch batteries. The product itself comes with two sets of the four you need. This is the largest pain in the ass I have ever experienced with putting in batteries. Don’t try to just drop them in – they’ll tip. I recommend putting your batteries upside down on a table then “trapping” it with your bullet by sliding the bullet on top of it. From there, move the bullet to the edge of the table with your hand covering the bullet’s battery hole so it won’t fall out. Repeat with the three other batteries. It’s really the easiest way to do it. The bullet itself is pretty decently made – it looks durable. The cord on the end is only to transmit signals from the remote – it’s NOT a retrival cord. Needless to say, this is only meant for external use. It’s not meant for internal vaginal or anal use.
The vibration settings on this thing are pretty decent. There are seven single speeds that go slightly up in intensity. The highest speed is definitely noticable. There’s also seven different function speeds. One is the regular vibrations that stay steady, the second goes from a lower setting up to two steps higher then goes down one, and repeats, the third goes from a high setting sliding down a low one, the fourth is medium-speed pulsations, the fifth is fast-speed pulsations, the sixth is medium-speed pulsations that speed up into fast-speed pulsations, and the seventh is three short pulses with a long pulse at the end. Like I said, you may need to push the button a couple times to get it to register the change in the bullet, but the sensations work pretty well. That having been said – this isn’t a quiet bullet. Its vibration settings are pretty loud, so this is probably not something you want to take in quiet public places.
The transmission definitely leaves a lot to be desired. If you are seeking a remote bullet to use on yourself, this will work amazingly. As long as there isn’t any fabric in the way (like clothing), this will work great for masturbation. However, if you wanted to use this on a partner while you control the remote, it doesn’t seem to work. Any layer of fabric tends to block the transmissions from the remote, and maybe one out of ten times will your command actually make it through. The product claims to work up to 26 feet away, but there’s no way unless you both are naked, and there’s nothing in the way. From what I found, anything over two feet made the controls so iffy that it wasn’t worth attempting. This is a great remote controlled vibrator but only if you plan to masturbate with it – not use it on a partner.
Unlike some vibrators, this one has a dedicated on/off switch. No matter how sucky the rest of the controls are being, the “off” button usually seems to work in every situation.
Another downside? The batteries will die ridiculously fast if you leave them in the bullet or the remote. Especially the bullet. It appears that, if the batteries on in the bullet, it’s constantly in the “on” stage. There’s no way to undo it unless you take off the cap or take out the batteries. If you leave the batteries in, expect your batteries to be dead within four hours even without play.
Overall, it’s a great set if you want to use it for masturbation. It transmits a good chunk of the time and isn’t too pricy. If you want something for play with your partner, you’ll want to upgrade from this. However, this remote controlled bullet does include great settings and some strong vibrations that makes it a good addition to a collection if you like to use it with yourself. CalExotics manufacturers this product, and they also sent me this 7-Function Remote Bullet to review.
