Inked Vibes Royal Review

Inked Vibes Royal
The vibrator in the package

UPDATE May 2020: The Inked Vibes Royal is no longer in production. This plastic vibrator review remains as a reference for anyone who’s interested.

Inked Vibes Royal is a traditional, plastic vibrator that is about seven inches in length with a diameter of about an inch and a fourth. It takes two C batteries for use, and it is run by a dial-base at the base of the toy. The main attraction of this vibrator is the Inked tattoo design that is on the surface of the toy.

The packaging for the Inked Vibes Royal is pretty basic. It’s plastic packaging that is see-through and displays the toy through the see-through panel. Inside, the vibrator rests in a plastic tray that easily pulls out to remove the toy. The packaging looks really “grungy” with the black and white design, and it suits the vibrator’s design really nicely. It’s good packaging, but we won’t be using it for storage of the toy as the toy does not have any storage concerns.

The reason I picked this vibrator is because I love power! I was browsing the EdenFantasys website, and I was disappointed in how few vibrators actually take C batteries. I’m not sure why this is as C batteries can really produce some of the most power that you can get out of a battery-operated vibrator. I wanted some stronger vibrators as I’ve been playing with a lot of AAA battery toys lately, and in my search on EdenFantasys, this happened to be the cutest-looking C-battery vibrator there was.

The Vibes Inked Royal is basically a regular plastic, traditional vibrator. I’ve always been fond of traditional vibrators as that’s how I started off with my own sex toy adventure. This one includes a turn-dial around the base to control the vibrations, and it also includes a neat design on the shaft that is supposed to make the toy “inked” with a tattoo. The pink and black versions of the toy have the same tattoo while the white version has a different one. For the pink one, it’s just a nautical theme with a heart wrapped in ribbon.

I haven’t had any issues with the design flaking on my vibrator. Some reviewers have mentioned that tape seems to remove the design, but tape is a lot more sticky than your vagina is! I would just recommend, if you see that something is peeling, to discontinue use of the vibrator. But for the most part, I wouldn’t even worry about it. I haven’t seen any issue with the design peeling, and I’ve tried chipping at it with my fingernails and pens. It seems to stay on there really nicely.

This vibrator takes two C batteries. The two batteries easily slide into the battery compartment which is accessed by opening the base of the vibrator. From there, you can use the turn-dial to adjust and increase the vibrations. The batteries are very easy to slip back out as well.

Inked Vibes Royal
The vibrator by itself

The vibrations are definitely strong! They come across as some of the strongest vibrations that we’ve felt in a battery-operated toy. They really toe the line between buzzy and rumbly vibrations. Because they’re so darn strong, they feel rumbly, but at the same time, the vibrations numb your hand pretty quickly, so they are slightly buzzy. They really are in the middle, and they certainly don’t diminish in strength when you apply pressure with the vibrator. The vibrator is loud enough to easily be heard in the same room, but you may not be able to hear it outside of a closed door. Someone could depending on how you were using it though.

The best use, for us, of this vibrator is for clitoral stimulation. Some people really make enjoy inserting a hard-plastic toy, but it will just never be for me. It just doesn’t feel all that pleasurable when inserted. However, if you tend to like using insertable vibrators when they’re traditional plastic vibrators, you could always try this one. For us, though, it just goes for clitoral vibration, and BOY, does it ever!

This vibrator is just one little powerhouse! When it comes to vibrators that don’t plug into the wall, this is probably about as strong as you can get! The two C batteries certainly help the matter some, but really, if you require strong vibrations, the Inked Vibes Royal certainly is one of the strongest toys I own in my 600+ toy collection. It’s actually strong enough that, after awhile of holding it, it can easily make your hand numb – even at the base of the vibrator.

With all great power comes a downside though. The downside to this vibrator is that it can be loud. It’s not as loud as some of the reviewers make it out to be – it can certainly be heard in the same room, but as long as you have it pressed against something (presumably, yourself), you really can’t hear the vibrator outside of a closed door. If you do have any sort of concerns about attempting to be quiet, though, I would not purchase this vibrator. It’s not loud enough to be very distracting during use, but it’s certainly loud enough that other people MIGHT know that you’re using a vibrator. As a precaution, there is some cardboard inside of the battery compartment. Do NOT take that out! The cardboard fills up some of the room and reduces noise by keeping the batteries from hitting the sides of the toy. It’s MUCH softer with the cardboard inside of the tube, so don’t take it out.

If you are stuck between this and the Inked Vibes Superslim, it really is a matter of personal preference. The Superslim is about 3/4 of the size, and it is about an inch shorter. It also runs on AA batteries instead of the C batteries that this Inked Vibes Royal runs on. It also has more buzzy vibrations than this vibrator does. If you want stronger, deeper vibrations that are slightly louder, I’d say that the Inked Vibes Royal is the way to go.

Cleaning this sex toy is really easy as it’s waterproof. Just make sure to close the battery compartment tightly then clean this sex toy with warm water and anti-bacterial soap. It easily slips into a condom for multiple-person use, and it’s compatible with all types of lubricants. Because this sex toy is made from a hard plastic, there are no storage concerns, and you can basically store it wherever you’d like.

Overall, we really like the Inked Vibes vibrator. It is a bit loud, yes, but we don’t really have any worries about other people hearing, and at the same time, it isn’t loud enough to actually distract us or turn us off. It’s just loud because of the strength of the vibrations. The design is adorable, it has really no storage concerns, and it’s strong. It sounds like just the things we need in our vibrator.
