Vanity Jopen Vr9 Review

Showing the Vr9's box

The Jopen Vanity Vr9 is a 10-inch long silicone vibrator that is part of the Jopen Vanity series and is sold by Babeland Sex Toys. It’s a waterproof vibrator that is also rechargeable. Both ends of this double-ended vibrator have different motors and sensations, and they each feature a slight g-spot curve. The larger end has a diameter of about two inches while the smaller end’s diameter is only about at inch at the most. This gives two different and varying sensations.

The packaging does leave a bit to be desired. The Vr9 comes in a cardboard box that includes a cardboard lid that lifts off to show the Vr9 in a cardboard tray. Underneath the tray is an instruction manual as well as the charger a large, Jopen storage bag. I honestly will be throwing away the box after I finish the review as I just am not fond of the design of the box, and I don’t think it’d be sturdy enough to hold up long-term. However, the storage bag will work really well for keeping the Jopen items all in one place, and it’s a really large bag as well, so you can store condoms or your favorite lubricant in it as well. The instruction manual shows all of the different Vanity Jopen vibrators in it as well as gives instructions on how to use this vibrator and how to charge it.

Showing the length of the vibrator and the different ends

It’s a bit hard to tell from the picture, but this vibrator is very, very long! Like, it’s about the size of some of your avergae “double-ended dildos” (since it is one?). This vibrator is ten inches long, and I think it’s one of the longest vibrators I own. This is actually really neat. If you enjoy a long insertable dildo, you have about eight/nine inches of insertable length on both ends on the dildo, so you can insert as far as you’d like, and even if it don’t like to go that deep, you also have a lot longer of a handle than most vibrators would provide.

This vibrator is rechargable. It takes about three hours for the intial charge, and since the initial charge, even with multiple uses, I still haven’t run down the battery to need to be recharged. I charged it up a bit to see how it charges, and the LED light lights up red when it’s charging, and it just stopped glowing when it was time to unplug it. The instruction manual says it will glow white, but I think I must have left it long enough on the charging where it just went “screw this; I’m done glowing white”. The charging port is located opposite of the buttons, and the charger slides in really easily. When it’s not being charged, the charging port closes itself, so it’s waterproof. I haven’t actually tested that claim, but I wasn’t too gentle about washing it, and even after multiple washes, it seems to functioning normally.

The vibrations on this vibrator are very easy to control, and they’re also amazingly quiet. The lower settings on both ends are hard to hear in the same room, and the higher settings, while they could be heard in the same room, could not be heard through a closed door which makes this vibrator a good choice if you need to be discreet in close-quarter living. This vibrator is easy to control, too, with an easy-off switch as well. There are two buttons on the middle of the vibrator; each button corresponds to the side of the vibrator that is closest to the button. When you hold down the button, the vibration slowly increases. If you just press it, the vibration turns off completely. If you want to adjust the vibration while in the middle of having the vibrator on, you just have to hold it down while you press it, and the vibrations get stronger.

In a really neat manner, this vibrator is double-sided, and each side provides a different sensation. One side of the vibrator is much more buzzy while the opposite side is more rumbly. The smaller end is much more buzzy. This end actually has a nice curve to it as well to use for g-spot stimulation. I didn’t have any success when attempting to use it for g-spot stimulation though. This is because this side is really flexible. It can easily bend backwards onto itself, so when I try to stimulate my g-spot, the vibrator actually bends instead of holding firm, so it doesn’t really apply firm g-spot pressure like I’d like, so it wasn’t too successful in that manner. It did provide a buzzier vibration to the g-spot, though, and if you have problems inserting larger vibrators, this smaller size makes it much easier to insert.

The larger side produces much more rumbly vibrations. This side can also be inserted, but when this side is inserted, it’s much larger, and it feels much more filling. It does have a slight curve to it as well. It felt really pleasurable when inserted just because the rumbly vibrations felt great, but it wasn’t a g-spot toy when using this larger end. I actually preferred using this larger end for clitoral stimulation as the strong vibrations made it really easy to use and enjoy while the extra-long length made it really easier to handle than other shorter clitoral toys.

Handling was a bit of a pain because of where I wanted to put my hands during use. It’s really easy to grab onto or thrust with because of the longer size, but at the same time, the manufacturers put the buttons in the middle of the toy. While you won’t really notice this while inserting the smaller end, when inserting the larger end, it becomes much more noticable. This is because the smaller end is a lot, lot more flexible than the larger end, and as such, the smaller end bends over instead of being a great handle. So if you want deeper, stronger thrusting, your hand is going to naturally want to move closer towards the middle, stronger part of the shaft, and that happens to be where the buttons are located. As such, I kept accidentally turning it off while using the larger end which was frustrating.

You do want to use a lot of lubricant with ths vibrator. The silicone is actually slightly tacky, so unless you use lubricant, the vibrator may not go in as smoothly or it may actually be painful to insert. This can be a bit frustrating because if you want to enjoy both ends, the opposite end will be lubricated as well, so it’s worth bringing a towel or something in case you want to use the opposite side. Water-based lubricant does seem to get absorbed into the material relatively quickly though.

Cleaning this vibrator is really easy. You can use warm water and anti-bacterial soap in order to clean this from regular use. Make sure to clean around (but not in!) the storage port. Along with that, you can sterilize this by using bleach but not boiling water. Water-based lubricant is the only compatible lubricant with this material. It doesn’t seem to pick up much lint, but it seems to pick up dust really easily, so I highly recommend storing it in its storage bag when not in use.

This vibrator is nice, and I love how long it is, but it doesn’t seem to hit my g-spot as nearly as well as it could. I feel like it should be less flexible on the smaller end, and the buttons are in a place that can definitely get annoying – especially when using the larger end. However, it does provide an interesting sensation with the two separate sides of the vibrator, and it’s easy to use and charge. Thanks to Babeland Toys to sending me this luxury vibrator in exchange for my Jopen Vr9 review.
