The Contour Q Massage Stones are small, ceramic massage stones made by JimmyJane and sold by MyPleasure adult toys. The set comes with two separate little stones that have two distinct textures on them. Both stones are about three inches in length and about an inch and a half in width at the widest part of the bulb. Each little stone includes two little bulbed ends that make the ball easier to roll. One stone is covered in little bumps while the other stone includes little ridges that run the length of the stone. These stones come in “sex-free” packaging which means that, while the packaging looks sensual, you could easily give this to a newlywed couple without them thinking anything of it.
The box for the set will keep your Contour Massage Stones nice and safe. The box includes a little slide-out tray that keeps the massage stones snugly in it, and this box does end up working for long-term storage really nicely. The box includes an instruction manual on how to best use your massage stones, and the outside of the box actually shows pictures on how the massage stones can be used. The box also advertises some of the other JimmyJane products including their Afterglow Candles which can be used as massage oil with these stones.
The neat thing about the Contour Q massage set is that it fits in with the other JimmyJane massage stones. For example, the Contour M is a neat, dome-shaped massage stone, and the Contour Q stones actually slide underneath it and can be used as a rolling ball for the Contour M set. All three stones can easily be used during the same massage to provide three different sensations that human hands just really can’t provide.
These stones just glide over the skin. It’s actually really amazing. They work amazingly with massage oil, but if you don’t have any massage oil around, these stones still glide well over the skin just because of the ceramic aspect. We enjoyed actually using them through his t-shirt, so they glide along fabrics as well. Of course, they did tend to work best when massage oil was involved, but even without it, the stones do not tug uncomfortably against the skin.
These two little stones can be used in a lot of different ways. Out of all of the stones that JimmyJane sells, these are probably the most unique and the most versatile when it comes to use. For example, each one of the little curved bulbs on the side can be used for very targeted pressure into the skin. The ball can be used to “roll” up against a person’s skin, and you can do that with your hand alone, but I find that it’s so much easier to roll it when you’re pairing the Contour Q with the Contour M. Along with this, you use the curved bulbs on the end for very distinct pressure that can be dragged along the surface of the skin in a sensual way. The box also highly recommends these for foot massage since they roll so nicely, but the boyfriend’s feet are ticklish, and there’s no way I’m going to risk getting kicked in the face, so you’ll have to experiment with that one on your own.
I found that, while I’m not as amazingly fond of the Contour Q as I am of the other Contour stones, I still love this set. It isn’t perfect, but it does give a textured appeal to a massage. They also can be a lot harder to handle than the other massage stones when your hands happened to be covered in massage oil. They tend to slip through your fingers in annoying fashion, so be prepared to get a bit more covered in massage oil than you originally intended. However, both of the textures on the stones end up feeling really nice. During a massage, you can actually feel both of the textures. The bulbed texture can feel a bit rough unless you are careful with applying a lot of pressure, so be careful of that, but the striated texture can be applied with a lot of pressure while rolling, and it actually feels good that way.
The Contour Massage Stones stay nicely as room temperature as well. You never have to worry about having a cold stone straight out of the box. However, if you want to make sure the stones are extra warm, these stones can be happily submerged in warm water to heat up the ceramic material of the massage stone. This makes the stone nice and warm to the touch.
You don’t have to worry about the ceramic material breaking either. JimmyJane made quality stones here, and no matter how much I’ve tried to “push” them into shattering, it doesn’t seem to be happening. Stepping on them might break them, but for full-body arm strength, they don’t seem to break. I love using the stones instead of my hands though for that reason. I can apply nice, deep pressure without feeling like my thumbs are going to fall off afterwards. These massage stones make giving a massage really easy.
To clean the Contour Q Massage Set, I just recommend regular soap and warm water. Because of some of the texture, you might have to take some extra care to get in the nooks of the toy, but it really shouldn’t be too hard to get these massage stones looking sparkly clean again. For storage, I will be keeping mine in the original box, and these stones are compatible with all different types of lubricant.
I end up really enjoying the Contour Massage Stone Contour Q set. They aren’t as amazing as Contour M or Contour I, but they still make it downright easy to give a massage without my thumbs feeling exhausted afterward. Plus, owning these stones gives the boyfriend and I the needed “excuse” to take time out from our day and give one another a massage. Sounds perfect to me! Thanks to MyPleasure Sex Toys for sending me the Contour Massage Stone for review.
