Pirate’s Pleasure Ring for Couples Review

Pirate's Pleasure Ring for Couples
The packaging of the ring

The Pirates Pleasure Ring for couples is a cock-ring intended to be used between partners to enhance pleasure. It’s based off of the hit pornographic movie “Pirates” as you can tell by the Pirate-like design. It’s sold by this adult store. The product is actually in two pieces – there’s the bullet and there’s the cock ring. The bullet slides nicely into the cock ring to allow for a vibrating sex toy. The ring itself is made from some stretchy TPE while the bullet is made from plastic. Instead of the pink-ish color shown on the product page, the c-ring is actually a vibrating red with the bullet being a dark brown.

The packaging for the Pleasure Ring is pretty awesome. There’s a small box attached to a piece of plastic backdrop. The backdrop states that this is Jesse Jane’s Pleasure Ring with a picture of Jesse Jane in the background. The title says “Pirates” large at the top of the box, and if you were to see this in stores, it would definitely stand out. The c-ring and the bullet come separated in a tray that’s easy to pull out. The box isn’t great for storage because it does have that huge background which can make it a pain if it happens to get caught on something and takes up a bit more room than needed. Unlike the vibrators from this collection, it doesn’t come with a satin storage bag for storage.

The detailing on this is where most people are going to be attracted. Unlike other sex toys which are just regular bullets or cock rings, the manufacturers paid quite a bit of attention to the detailing. The pleasure ring has a picture of a skull on the front inside of a heart. This piece is raised away from the ring itself so it will be felt as extra texture when worn. The backside of that ring has a small triangle of dots intended to stimulate. The frontside of the ring, on the ring itself, is some vine detailing that just looks neat. (Granted, it doesn’t look quite as neat when the ring is stretched out, but it’s still cool.) The backside of the ring is blank. The bullet is made from plastic that’s been painted shiny brown. Both sides of the bullets are copies of each other. The center of the bullet has a picture of a skull on it, then there’s rings of textures that go around the bullet. There’s a curve in the center of the bullet as well as a point at the end. Most people won’t be able to feel much of the difference in texture – just that there is a texture on it.

The bullet is a multi-speed bullet. It requires 3 watch batteries which slide in easily once you unscrew the cap of the bullet. It does come with three watch batteries ready to go. To activate the bullet, you just push down the button at the bottom. It has a low, medium, slow pulsations, fast pulsations, then alternating vibrations. To shut it off, you have to cycle through the vibration patterns. The patterns are relatively neat – for a bullet at least. The vibrations are low and medium – these definitely aren’t strong vibrations. Some women would be able to get off from the vibrations, but not all. For the most part, the vibrations were just intended to act as a nice addition to sex – not be the sole bringer of orgasm. The vibrations are pretty loud too. I’m not sure if it’s the batteries rumbling in the case, but my boyfriend could heard it from across the apartment (with doors open). It’s definitely not as quiet as I’d expect them to be. They could probably be heard through a closed door on the anything-but-low setting.

The vibrations from the bullet could be used on their own or slid into the ring. Either way, they are only intended for surface use – not internal use. When used without the ring, most women should be able to feel the texture. It doesn’t really enhance, but it doesn’t hurt either. It’s just a neat feature. Like stated before, unless you are sensitive to vibrations, this most likely won’t be able to get you to orgasm. It is hard plastic and can be used to provide good pressure though – just avoid using it at too much of an angle because of the point on the end of the bullet.

The bullet fits pretty easily into the cock ring sleeve – it takes a bit of wiggling, but it’s easy to get in and out without having to add any extra lubricant. Once it’s in, the bullet does stick out towards the side, so you won’t push the button during sex and it can be easily changed as well. The vibrations can easily be felt throughout the c-ring; the ring doesn’t diminish them. The vibrations can be felt around his penis through the ring as well as on the back diamond and the front skull. When it comes to where it’s strongest, it seems to be around the back diamond or on the ring itself. There seems to be too much material along the skeleton texture to make it extra-strong there.

We like this ring because it isn’t TOO tight. The boyfriend can be a bit sensitive about having tight things (or anything, for that matter) near his penis, so something a bit loose provides a good sensation without being too tight. We found that, because he has quite a bit of girth, the ring was snug enough on him. For guys with less girth, it might be a bit loose. For those that desire extra firmness from their cock ring, just put it around the testicles as well as the base of the penis – that way it’s tighter. Either way, this ring easily has enough stretch to put it onto any penis – shaft only or both testicles and shaft. We found it didn’t do amazingly at restricting blood flow when just on the shaft, but it did okay for us. If we had looped it around the testicles too, it would have done better, but the boyfriend may have had a heart attack in fear. So we stuck with the shaft. As it was, it was slightly tight, definitely stayed in place just fine, and didn’t pull at the pubic hairs.

We didn’t find that it added too much of anything during missionary. It was fun, and it added some nice vibrations to the base of his penis, but it really didn’t line up well with my body for my own pleasure. He did enjoy the vibrations on him though. We tried some variations on missionary and even pulled out some positioning pillows, but nothing. I know a couple reviewers have had success with Doggy style, but that just isn’t our thing. Cock rings just never seem to line up with us for missionary, but he did enjoy the extra sensations that the vibrations provided, and I really liked the look of it on him. The buzzing of the vibrator was slightly distracting (especially since it’d get quiet then loud when pressure was applied to it), but it wasn’t horrible – not anymore distracting than music or the television.

For cleaning, use antibacterial soap and water on both pieces. They both are splashproof but not waterproof, so don’t dunk them underwater. (Well, obviously, the c-ring would be okay, but not the bullet.) Water-based lubricant works best with these two in case you need lubricant for sex or to get it on. (It really is easy to put on though.) I’m sure storing it in the original box for now, but I really should get a storage pouch for it; the box is pretty annoying for storage. The ring does pick up some fuzzies, so you should keep it in storage of some type.

For the most part, though, we like the ring. It’s not our favorite sex toy by far, but it was fun to experiment, and when want something that provides amazing vibrations to his penis, we’ll pick it up. Other cock rings usually don’t vibrate at all on his penis – at least, not enough for him to like it. The ring is unique in the look and feel of it, and the texture just makes it look fun and whimsical. We enjoyed using the pleasure ring, even if it wasn’t amazing, and it was fun to try out the different positions to see if it would work. If you have had good experience with pleasure rings in the past, I’d say it’s definitely worth picking up. This male sex toy is sold at TabuToys, so pick up the Pirate’s Pleasure Ring for Couples if this is something for you.
