The beautiful box it came in. This is a pretty gigantic box. A square foot easily.

TOY HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY MANUFACTURER – though they do offer a G-spot and Rabbit-vibrator of this toy. THIS REVIEW IS HERE FOR ANYONE SEEKING INFO ON THE ORIGINAL OHMIBOD FREESTYLE. – May 2020.

Oh Mi Bod/God. Not only is the toy amazing, I was beyond impressed with the packaging itself. I won Eden Cafe’s Oh Mi Bod giveaway, and I must say that I’m glad I did. For everyone else, though, that great sex toy store will sell it to you for a great price.

The Freestyle comes in a pure white box with a basic picture of the Freestyle and the words “Freestyle” written in nice, shiny metallic letters. When you open up the box, you will see the different adapters and the case itself that holds the Oh Mi Bod and its transmitter. In general, even the packaging just amazes me. I’ve never owned a luxury toy, but this one makes me feel like I’m in the presence of the god of vibrators. The case itself works wonderfully. It has pre-set holes to put in your Freestyle and your transmitter, and although I have a problem opening it once in awhile, my boyfriend just calls me an idiot and has no problem with it. It is a sturdy case, though. It definitely will protect your Freestyle from any sort of harm.

I wouldn’t recommend using this toy anally because it doesn’t have a flared base. However, this is a great toy for vaginal play, clitoral stimulation, or for using on any of your erogenous zones.

Even without reading the full-color instruction booklet that came with it, my boyfriend and I could easily figure out

how this little guy worked. The transmitter just needs to be plugged into an MP3 player to receive the music. Since the Freestyle is wireless, it doesn’t have any cord to be plugged into the Freestyle. It does, however, include another jack to plug in headphones if you wanted to listen to the music as well. The transmitter has a scroll-dial to determine how sensitive it will make your vibrator to the music. If turned all the way to the left, this scroll-dial will also turn of the transmitter to save batteries. The transmitter requires two AAA batteries which are included with the Freestyle when it comes.

The Freestyle came almost fully charged. (The charging spot for the Freestyle is on the bottom of the Freestyle with a little plastic cover to cover the hole when not in use like the one you’d have on a cell phone.) Within two minutes of being plugged in, it was fully charged. Once fully charged, it’s supposed to last five hours. I can’t say I tried it for five hours, but it was going strong after three, so I’d imagine the actual play time is somewhere around five. The charging booklet says only two hours until full charge, but mine was fully charged after an hour and a half. The booklet does warn not to charge the Freestyle for more than 24 hours at a time as it is apparently harmful to the battery. It also says that it can hold a stand-by charge for 60 days.

When charging, the charger light will be red, and when fully charged, the charging light will turn green.

The Freestyle itself includes three different “modes”: storage mode, manual mode, and music mode. Storage mode completely turns off the vibrator so it won’t use any of its charge. Music mode is so that it can be used with your music device. Manual mode is that you can use it without having any music present. It is also eight inches long with almost six inches of insertable length. All of the packaging weights three and a half pounds with the Freestyle itself probably takes up about a half a pound.

Manual mode is what I get the most use out of. It includes seven different preset vibrations. The only problem I had with these is that they don’t cycle – in order to get back to the first preset, you have to go through all of the previous six again. The vibrations are:

Setting 1- Steady low vibrations
Setting 2- Steady medium vibrations
Setting 3- Steady high vibrations
Setting 4- Scoop from medium to high vibration in repeated pattern
Setting 5- Pulses
Setting 6- Very fast pulses
Setting 7- Pulse, Pulse, sustain repeated

Music mode is pretty fun. I enjoy playing music and feeling it vibrate. The best part? The little light on the “up and down” switches lights up in time with the vibrations as well, so that’s really cute when you’re watching someone else use

The transmitter connected to an iPod Touch. Very simple and painless.

it. It’s usually pretty in-time with the music.

As for what music is best? It’s a personal preference. Unless you really love hard vibrations from the get-go, I’d save your metal music until you’re a little warmed up since it tends to be pretty constant vibrations. I’d say the ideal music is something that has some decent amount of bass, but nothing huge. (Did I mention that the Freestyle goes off of the bass of the track? Not the guitar.) I prefer some moderate rock for a warm-up then move onto something like Rob Zombie or something heavier for the “climax” (pun intended) of your play.

The vibrations themselves can be pretty intense depending on the song. You can adjust the sensitivity by changing the volume on your music player or by using the sensitivity control on the transmitter. The instruction manual encourages you to play with both settings to find the “Sweet spot” for your song. The vibrations can be a little loud, but depending on whether you use headphones or speakers to play your music (yes, it can do both!) the loud vibrations don’t matter as much.

The Freestyle is made out of body-safe ABS plastic. It is Phthalates free, so you don’t have to worry about getting hurt by that. It has a very smooth, almost velvet-like texture. It can be fully sterilized, and I would recommend cleaning it with mild soap and water. The instruction manual does warn you not to submerge the OhMiBod Freestyle because it is NOT waterproof, and it will ruin it. This sex toy is only splash-proof at best. It also says to avoid getting anything near the charging socket of the Freestyle. Any lubricant should work alright with this vibrator, but I only used water lubricant with it.

Another great aspect? You don’t have to be worried about spending money on a toy that will break because OhMiBod provides a one year warranty on the Freestyle.

I recommend the Freestyle to anyone who wants a high-quality vibrator. It has the strong vibrations to satisfy even a sex-toy veteran. It has the lower vibrations to satisfy a sex toy newbie. It’s easy to figure out within two minutes of looking at the pretty instructions. And, I mean, who doesn’t want to get off to some good music while in the presence of such an amazing sex toy?
