OhMiBod Club Vibe 2.OH Vibrator

The Club Vibe 2.OH is the latest vibrator from OhMiBod and the upgrade on the original Club Vibe vibrator. It can be found at EdenFantasys. This vibrator vibrates in intensity in response to noises in your environment, and it also is rechargeable. It’s made of plastic, and it includes a wireless remote to control the vibrator. Along with that, it also includes a pair of panties to use the vibrator with. The remote uses batteries while the vibrator itself is rechargeable.

Like most OhMiBod toys, the packaging for the OhMiBod 2.0 is very pretty. It comes in a sturdy cardboard box that looks very pretty and organized on the outside. Inside, there’s a plastic tray that separates and organizes all of the various items that are included in the OhMiBod Club Vibe 2.OH. As the box holds them very firmly, this could definitely work for long-term storage of your vibrator. The box includes a storage bag, the vibrator, the charging cord, the instructions, and a pair of panties.

The remote for the OhMiBod Club Vibe 2.OH Vibrator

What makes the Club Vibe 2 stand apart from other OhMiBod sex toys is the fact that it can vibrate to the sound around you. The remote is the one that picks up the sound, and it translates how “loud” the sound is to how strongly the vibrating portion will vibrate. There’s a button on the remote that allows you to adjust how sensitive the vibrator will be to the noise around it, and at any moment, you can easily use a button on the remote to change the vibrator to the other mode.

The noise sensitivity is not the only mode that the OhMiBod Club Vibrator has though. The Club Vibe 2.OH can be used as a regular vibrator as well. It does require use of both the remote and the vibrator. You turn them on separately, and then you can use a special button on the vibrator’s remote to just turn on vibrations. If you choose to use this in public and find that the noise-sensitivity mode just isn’t doing it for you, this easily becomes a Plan B as you can manually control the vibrations.

The OhMiBod Club Vibe 2.0 is designed pretty simply. There are two “halves” of the vibrator. One half of the sex toy vibrates while the other half works as a remote. The two pieces do fit together for storage, but aside from storage purposes, it doesn’t seem like there’s much use to the two pieces fitting together. In fact, in the process of making the remote fit-able to the vibrator half, the remote doesn’t feel very ergonomic in the hand. The vibrator portion features the charging port at the base of the vibrator while it also has a “bump” towards the tip of the vibrator that is designed to nestle against the clitoris. The remote features the battery compartment on the back while there’s a keychain dangling off of the tip of the remote as well. There are LED lights on the front of the vibrator that show you how sensitive you’ve turned up the toy, and it also features three different buttons to control the vibrator.

The battery compartment for the remote

This new OhMiBod wireless vibrator is actually rechargeable. Only half of it is, though! The vibrator itself is rechargeable via USB (it doesn’t have an outlet charger though I imagine you could charge via electric outlet if you have a converter). The remote, though, uses an N battery. The first N battery is included for you. The vibrator portion charges easily, and the light on the vibrator will blink while the sex toy is charging; make sure to seal back up the charging port after you’re done to avoid getting bodily fluids in the port.

The remote for the Club Vibe is pretty simple to use. You have the On button, the sensitivity button, and the manual mode button. All very easy. The remote really feels a bit large and clunky – especially as this vibrator is really designed for “public” use since it picks up on the noise around it. With that in mind, I would have liked to have seen a small remote or something that just was easier to hide in the palm of your hand or a pocket. This one does end up working okay, though.

The vibrator and the remote portion connect very easily. There’s absolutely no confusion between them, and they seem to know that they’re supposed to “talk” to each other. The vibrations can be a bit delayed as to when they “talk” though. Sometimes there’s a slight delay, and sometimes nothing happens at all. This was through panties and thick jeans on multiple tests. Sometimes, it worked through a wall okay, and other times, it didn’t. It does work best if the remote is pointed at the person and if the person is semi-nearby. If there’s too much fabric in the way, though, it can get choosy.

The charging port for the vibrator

The ClubVibe’s vibrations are not the strongest, but they are definitely moderate in intensity. They probably aren’t enough for orgasm for most people, but for some, they may be enough. I’d say that they really have to be in the right place, though, which may be difficult if you’re up and walking around. If you have the ability to sit and possibly grind against it, though, it may end up being enough for orgasm. The vibrations themselves do have some noise to them as well, and you can easily hear them in the next room if everything is quiet. If there’s some sort of noise going on, though, it’s much harder to hear the vibrations.

I think that the ClubVibe definitely has made some improvements over the previous version. It looks more sleek, stays together better, and has easier controls. Plus, it’s wireless! The wired body of the first Club Vibrator made it much harder to enjoy. However, it’s still not 100% there. I think the biggest oopsie of this release is the remote. It’s awesome that the remote fits into the vibrator very nicely and they can “cuddle” together, but it’s not practical for use. The “mic” that controls the vibrations in ambient noise is ON the remote. That means you really need somewhere to store this remote where the mic can pick up the noise. Since the vibrator really is too large for palm use and not discreet enough to be clipped onto a belt for many people, that pretty much leaves pockets – and that deadens the sensitivity of how much sound it picks up.

However, not all hope is lost! As an at-home vibrator, it’s pretty decent. We don’t have to worry about the sound, and it’s fantastic for video gaming. I can place the remote up to one of my portable gaming consoles, and as my partner is doing homework or doing something around the apartment, as my game gets louder or makes more noise, it vibrates straight to him. If I don’t feel like the game is making enough noise, it’s simple to just press the manual button and “punish” him that way. Since I’m not in public, the remote’s larger size doesn’t bother me as much, and I’m okay if the remote doesn’t always transmit the vibration as I pushed it. For in public, though, I do think it still needs some kinks worked out before I can recommend it as ‘best choice’.

The shape of the vibrator (left-hand side)

There isn’t much to say about the pair of panties. They are pretty standard panties. They will stretch out a bit, and I’d say that they’ll fit most slim-to-average people, but it definitely won’t go plus-size. However, the panties aren’t required to use the ClubVibrator, so you can easily use your own panties or a favorite pair of panties instead of these. Keep in mind, though, that the vibrator itself has some weight to it, so in order to keep the vibrator nestled up against your body, you need form-fitting panties. With good panties, though, the vibrator doesn’t really move which is great. You do need good panties though.

To clean this vibrator, you’ll want to be careful. The Club Vibe 2.OH is splash-proof ONLY, so you have to avoid getting water near any of the sockets or risk ruining your pretty sex toy. This vibrator is compatible with all types of lubricants, but again, avoid getting any of the extra inside charging ports to avoid ruining your sex toy. For storage, you can keep it in the original box, or the vibrator and accessories could be stored in the pouch that comes with it.

Overall, the Club Vibe 2.OH is a definite improvement over the original in some aspects. This one is wireless and does an okay job of transmitting vibration commands, and the vibrator’s shape actually fits nicely against the body. The microphone placement and the design of the remote do need some work, though, but if they ever fix those things in a third version, I’d be more-than-happy to recommend it for public use in loud areas. Just keep in mind where and what you plan on using this for, and for some, this is definitely a good choice.
