DeLashe Review

DeLashe

The DeLashe sitting out. Gorgeous. I'm in love.

The DeLashe is a gorgeous glass-handle flogger produced by Liberator that is about eighteen inches in total length. The handle is about eight inches long, and the soft, lambskin tails are about a foot long. This flogger is not the regular size of most dungeon floggers – this is actually a bedroom flogger and is smaller in length. The flogger tails come in different colors including teal, white, black, and purple. The tails are intended to be a flogger while the glass portion can either be a handle or can be used as a glass dildo. The glass handle is textured, and while you’d think it’d be a bit thick, it actually surprised me by being pretty small in diameter – about 3/4 inch. The texture on the handle makes it extremely easy to hold onto.

The packaging is pretty basic. The DeLashe comes with a small, suede-feeling drawstring pouch. It has two ribbons that draw in on both sides to keep the flogger from falling out. I ended up tightening it wrong, and one of my ribbons has already come out. I was saddened, but it still draws together okay. It was my own silliness that caused that, but aside from that, it will keep your flogger safe from scratches and harm. The flogger also comes with a small Liberator Love Artist Sex Positioning booklet that advertises all of their different products.

Showing the pattern of the crystals around the tails

The handle is the most unique part about this flogger. It’s made of borosilicate glass – which basically means it’s made to be extremely strong. That type of glass also is known for breaking in chunks. Basically, if anything were to break it, it would break in half instead of shattering. I wouldn’t worry about that unless you drop it on the ground though – I’ve never heard of a vagina breaking a glass toy. So the handle can be used both as a dildo and as the handle for the flogger. The small diameter means that this could be used for anal as well as vaginal intercourse. I’d be a bit careful about using this as a dildo to make sure you don’t get the tails near any sort of mess that will stain them. However, with the eight inch length, most people won’t take the full length inside of them anyway, so you can just use the first five inches for your pleasure without having to worry about the tails.

Since the handle/dildo is completely straight, it doesn’t pleasure the g-spot at all. Since it is glass, so it requires a very little amount of lubricant (if any) to use it comfortably. The texture on the dildo can be felt very easily when used anally, but not so much when used vaginally. There’s a small bulb on the end of the handle that doesn’t serve much of a purpose aside from looking fashionable. When I first got the flogger, there were a couple glue marks near the tails, but just washing it made them come off just fine. It wasn’t any sort of problem. The glass itself is see-through and gorgeous-made with small waves throughout the body of it. Near the tails, the handle shrinks into a small piece where Liberator wrapped the flogger’s tails around the glass multiple times, and it looks like they glued each layer together. There’s about seven or eight layers of the lambskin material.

DeLashe

Showing the handle of this Liberator DeLashe

When used as a handle, the texture provides good friction that keeps your hand from slipping off of the handle. If your hand is sweaty or lubricated, though, it may not be very effective at grasping the glass flogger, so wipe off your hand before attempting – in case you accidentally end up throwing your role-play toy at your partner instead. The handle feels extremely comfortable wrapped in my feminine fingers with some room to easily spare, so women can wield this just fine. Men shouldn’t have any problem grasping it either though they may feel like the toy is small in their hand. Something of note: this glass flogger does not include a hanging strap. I want to try tying some fabric around the bulb at the end to see if it will hang, but I’m too frightened of it falling and breaking, so I will just leave it in the original pouch for storage. The flogger feels like it has weight, but nothing heavy. It has weight to it because of the glass, but the tails even it out pretty nicely, so this is not tiring in the slightest to wield.

DeLashe

Showing the softness of the tails

So what about the tails? I can’t rave about them enough. I seriously can’t. I take out this flogger and I pet it. On a regular basis. I own about twenty floggers, and these tails are by far the softest tails I have ever felt in my life. They feel like the most luxurious fabric you will ever touch. They almost feel so soft that it’s like reaching into a large bowl of soft amazingness and not really “feeling” anything. Like my senses don’t quite know what to do with the sensation – this is easily the softest kink toy I’ve ever seen or used. There are quite a few tails – not “mop flogger” proportions, but definitely about thirty or so. All of the tails are the lambskin material, and they seem to have even been softened further from that point. The tails are all attached to the same piece of material that winds around the glass handle, so none of your tails could come off. The point where the tails meet the handle is covered with a gorgeous design – some metal flower-like designs with a Swarovski crystal sitting in the center of each design. The design is not coming off. I’m not sure what they did, but I actually broke my nail while even just attempting to move the thing to see what it was attached by. So the design will stay on, and you don’t have to worry about losing your money over it.

DeLashe

Showing the length of the tails. About 1 and 1/2 the length of my hand.

So how do the tails feel? Like sex itself. Really. It feels amazing. They feel soft, sensual, and everything I could ask for in a bedroom flogger. I won’t let my boyfriend hit me with it since that’s not something I’d mentally enjoy, but I love hitting myself with it on my legs, arms, everywhere. While all of my body realizes that it is soft, you will have the best luck using it if you use it places on your partner where there are lots of nerves – like the hands – because it will be able to realize exactly “how” soft it is while other body parts won’t notice. The hands and other “not-regularly-touched” places on the body seem to have the “softest” experience. It’s the perfect sensual experience when used gently or moderately.

When used roughly, it’s still pretty much impossible to cause pain unless you don’t aim correctly. The only way to cause even a minor sting is to end up allowing the tails to wrap-around your target. This means they get more momentum than the rest of the tails, and they will cause a slight sting. Very, very slight. Otherwise, even when struck roughly, the sex toy’s tails just land as a large “group” that just feels slightly thuddy – not painful the slightest. It sounds a bit loud and a bit painful, but I promise, it really isn’t.

The size is the only thing that makes a large difference with this flogger. It is relatively small compared to most dungeon floggers. This means that this was meant to be used when you are near and/or touching your partner – which, surprisingly, is not how most BDSM scene floggers usually work. However, we’ve made it work just fine. It’s for those times when we aren’t doing a particular scene – just enjoying sex or masturbation or other things – during those times, we’re close enough that this is perfect for using but also doesn’t get in the way. Besides, nobody can admire the beautiful detailing from afar, so I like being closer up.

I’m protective of my flogger. I don’t want anyone touching it but me and the boyfriend. It’s gorgeous and soft, and I want it to stay that way. I’d avoid getting any sort of messes near this, and for god’s sake, if your subject is bleeding somewhere, don’t hit that spot with the flogger – especially with the lighter colors. To wipe it down, I’ve been used a very slightly damp washcloth on the tails and cleaning the handle portion with antibacterial soap and warm water – being very careful not to touch the tails. The handle can be used with any type of lubricant, but avoid harming the tails with it – and silicone-lubricant can be a bit of a pain to clean up. For storage, I’ve been keeping it in the storage bag that it came in. It appears that the tails don’t get harmed by being kept folded in half, so they look just fine with no creases, so I’m not worried about it.

If I was going to give the DeLashe rating in stars, I’d easily get five stars – if not more. Yes, it does have some problems when it comes to length, but any problem this flogger has is easily overshadowed by how amazingly and perfectly soft the tails are. You really can’t beat these tails – not in any of the twenty floggers I own. Considering that most handcrafted glass dildos (like the handle is) run in the seventies to eighties, you are getting a great deal having an amazingly soft flogger on it as well. The only thing I’d improve would be just to include the shown storage case with the flogger. I feel like the drawstring bag doesn’t do this luxurious toy the “storage justice” it deserves. This is easily my favorite flogger now – by far. While Liberator does sell other whips and paddles, I’d really, really recommend you pick up the DeLashe instead. This is my new baby. Of course, if you want to make a full set, check out some of their Black Label Furniture sounds like a great way to make an evening.

Oral Sex 101 Book Review

Oral Sex 101

The front cover

Oral Sex 101 is a 18 page book manufactured by Lover’s Choice and sold by Twisted-Miss Sex Toys. It’s a very short book and can easily be read in one sitting (It took me 15 minutes.). The back cover is a hard cardboard while the front cover is a very thin cardboard. Instead of having a proper book binding, the book is bound by wire rings on the side. The pages feel like really thick pages, and the book is full-color on the inside. The book comes with a pouch on the front that includes ID Wild Cherry and ID Cool Mint lubricant. The book was produced in 2008 (so it’s recent) and shows a girl biting a guy’s lip on the cover. Because of the content of the book (and the pictures inside of it), I wouldn’t recommend taking this out in public.

The book starts off with a “Did you Know?” page where you can learn some neat facts like where oral sex was first practiced, how many men can give themselves head, and where the word “cunnilingus” came from. It’s only a page long and the page of contents is on the opposite side of this page.

After the table of contents, we just straight into the FAQ page which includes 11 different questions poised from a He Says/She Says/We Both Say type of question. The answers are pretty short, succinct, and answer the question, but they don’t really explain much in detail. Types of questions include “Is it true that blowing air in the vagina can be dangerous?” (Did not know this), “Can you get/give STDs from Oral Sex?”, “What if I can’t deep throat?” and some others.

Oral Sex 101

Examples of some of the Tips and Techniques

“The Facts”, which is the next two pages, seems to have some odd facts. For one, they claim that there’s only one type of female orgasm – that vaginal and clitoral orgasms are the same thing. For another, they claim that women can only being multi-orgasmic – not men. They do, however, recommend against sugar near the vagina which is a relief. The facts seem a little basic, some seem like common sense, and others just seem like misinformation. Not very impressed with the facts so far.

The next two pages, the “Erogenous Zones” shows a woman on one side and a man one other in their underwear (yet she is in heels. Hmm.) and points out (with arrows) what each zone is and what do with it. I felt this part of the book didn’t need to be sexist – but it turned out that way. For her, when it comes to the head, you should stimulate her brain before her body. For him, when it comes to his head, you should run your fingers through his hair. Guess his brain doesn’t need help. On the “her” diagram, there’s an arrow for breasts while on the “him” diagram, there isn’t an arrow. Guess guys don’t like nipple stimulation either. Overall, not impressed with this page. Plus, they only did the obvious erogenous zones that most people know about such as the lips, head, neck, genitals, breasts, and toes. They left out behind the knees, lower back, torso, and all sorts of them.

Oral Sex 101

Table of Contents and The Facts

After those two pages, you get two pages of “Games” on the next flip of the page. These two pages include six different games that you and your partner can play with one another. The games unfortunately don’t really have much to do with oral sex and instead are just games to tease one another. For example, put chocolate on one nipple, hot sauce on the other, and flip a coin to see which one the partner has to lick up first. Or take your favorite ice cream and place a scoop between her breasts and lick it up. Unfortunately not impressed with the games either.

The next six pages are supposed to be the “meat” of the book. They are the Tips and Tricks for oral sex – 3 pages of “For Her” and 3 pages of “For Him”. The first set of Him/Her consists of what are the best positions for going into oral sex. You get three positions for each gender. The next page consists of some good moves to try the next time you give oral sex. No surprise here, but the “For Him” section gets quite a few more suggestions than the “For Her” section. Both pages had some decent suggestions though that would be helpful to a beginner. The last two pages are about things you can do to spice up your oral sex. The “For Him” recommends using a blindfold while the “For Her” recommends trying out an ice cube.

Oral Sex 101

Showing the small amount of pages in the book

On the last page, we get the oddest thing. It’s a half-page list talking about why lube is important for your sex life. It completely seems out of place and odd in this book. There’s five reasons on why you should try out lubricant including it helps prolong having sex and makes oral sex more tasty. After this is a one-paragraph conclusion to the book.

While the book does include pictures, none of the pictures are explicit or actually nude at all. The models are all wearing at least panties and a bra or are covering their nipples. Some of the pictures don’t actually have to do with oral sex such as a girl licking a cupcake. I feel like, in a book about how to give oral sex, there should at least be diagrams showing me what is what, but none of those were included either.

The book also does assume that you and your partner are male/female. It’s written with a heterosexual couple in mind, and all of the pictures show a girl with a guy as well. All of the pages and topics are divided between “For Him” and “For Her”.

The ID lube works okay. The Cherry honestly tastes a little more like cough syrup while we didn’t attempt the Cool Mint due to my mint-hating tendencies. The little packets do include enough lubricant to easily last for an entire oral sex session though, so don’t worry about running out of lubricant. The nutrition facts for the lubricant are included on the black piece of paper behind the lubricants and honestly, they contain Glycerin, so I wouldn’t use these on the female for oral since it could possibly give her a yeast infection. They work great for him though.

So how do I feel about the book? I’m really split. It’s not much of a book, but I don’t think it was intending to be with the short length. I think it was meant to a be a book that a nervous girl picks up as her first “Sex Help” book to get her in the doorway with all of the pictures and the colors and the basic text. I will gladly admit that there are better oral sex how-to books out there with better information – but this one just seems so friendly and easy to read. Yes, some of the information is sexist, and i wasn’t fond of that, but I could easily see this being the “gateway book” for someone who’s nervous about buying a sex book to buy a book. This sex toy store sells adult books, so pick up Oral Sex 101 (if you’d like to) today.

Large Lockable Vibrator Case Review

Large Lockable Vibrator Case

The case itself. Large and in charge.

The Large Lockable Vibrator Case is a large case intended for sex toy storage that is made from metal, vinyl, and suede and sold by FunWares. This case comes in both black and pink. The case is definitely large at almost nine inches tall and 15 inches long. The lid of the case opens up into two separate sides. Each of the sides is held together at the top by the two separate locking mechanisms. While there isn’t any extra storage space from the lids, there is a small tray that sits on top of the main storage area that allows for another layer of storage. The locking mechanisms are the three-number-dial type, and once the number is correct, you can just flick the opening latch, and it will open.

Since this is a sex toy storage case, it’d be a little silly if it came in its own packaging. So it doesn’t. It just comes with some little bags of the “Do Not Eat – I Make Things Smell Fresh” stuff as well as a piece of paper that gives you the instructions to change the number code. The instructions are extremely easy to follow, and make it easy to change your code. A piece of foam was wrapped around the outside metal handle to protect it from scratches. An easy-to-remove tag also hung off of the chest from the handle. This is apparently made by BMS Enterprises.

The material can be a little difficult to understand, so I figure I’ll explain it. Basically, the entire case is really, really firm. Like bookshelf-wood firm. But it’s also thin to make the case. The outer black portions of the case are all vinyl with the silver shiny parts being metal. Inside of the toy box, all of the box is lined with the suede material. (The suede isn’t softened; in fact, I think it has an extra coating of chemicals to keep the suede relatively mess-resistant.) The materials all come together in a nice way with all of the pieces seem well put together. The lining isn’t pulling away from the edges of the box at all, and the only complaint I can really find with the way it was made is that the middle storage tray likes to be a bit of a pain to move sometimes. (It moves from the middle to the side so you can access the bottom of the box.) The case is really light to carry around (though it gets heavy if you load it up with toys) and is exactly the weight that I’d expect something of this size to weigh.

Large Lockable Vibrator Case

One rabbit vibrator being stored inside. Notice the extra tray on top for more room.

The locking mechanisms work great. I haven’t had any problem with them getting stuck or anything. In fact, it brings up good memories. When I was younger, my father used to have a suitcase that had these same locks, and my sister and I just loved to open them for a sake of opening them. It’s enjoyable. This case proves to be the exact same. The locks come with a red piece of plastic through the “center” of all of the dials to keep them at the default 000 position so the case will unlock. The case does come locked, but that red piece of plastic (or common sense. These things are always defaulted to 000.) should allow you to open it and retrive the instructions. I chose to keep mine at 000 since I don’t have anyone who will steal from this (and it’s likely I’d forget the number), but if you have nosy roommates or curious children, setting the lock to other numbers will keep unwanted guests from reaching your sex toys. As you can imagine, both locks have to be unlocked for the case to open up.

The inside is nicely lined as well. I wouldn’t set out to spill lubricant or other ickies on it, but it honestly wipes off really easily with a damp washcloth. I wouldn’t be concerned about spilling on this (I’d be more concerned about the lubricant spilling on your other toys.) For this reason, I like to keep my lubricant in the top storage shelf of this case. It’d be awesome if storage pouches were added to the two lids, but they aren’t. A girl can hope though, right?

I think this would fit in relatively well into most rooms. It wouldn’t keep a burglar out or anything, but for nosy people? It works great since they can’t open it. (They might ask what’s in it, but you can say memorable items.) It doesn’t take up that much room but allows you to store a good deal in a small amount of room. For the average sex toy user, this will easily fit all the toys you own. I’d recommend it for those who have nosy visitors, those who want to keep their sex life secret, or people who have a need for privacy in a small area (dorm, living at a parent’s house). It doesn’t look amazingly “discreet”, but the lock will keep most people from inquiring further after they realize they can’t open it. Just make sure you don’t store the case with the code already plugged in. (That’s probably the most annoying part about this case too. If you want to use it in the dark, the code needs to be already there or you need to turn on a light to get at your toys.)

So what will this store? Pretty much everything. This will fit the Hitachi Magic Wand inside of it. It will fit most rabbit vibrators as well (worth mentioning since rabbits have a large width because of the clitoral attachment.) If you have mostly traditional, long and skinny vibrators, you can easily fit at least ten in here. With smaller toys that aren’t so long (like Lelo toys), you could easily get away with more than ten. It really just depends on what toys you want to keep – especially if you consider that you could possible “pile” up the toys past the base since the lids will keep them stored. The tray on top is about an inch deep and two inches wide and will fit traditional vibrators, lubricant, condoms, or other relatively not-thick toys. We haven’t decided what we’re going to keep in here for long-term storage, but whatever it is, we’ll be able to fit a lot of it in this case.

Storing lubricant in here shouldn’t hurt the case because of the nice, water-resistant material. To wipe it down, a damp washcloth with some water will work wonders. The outside of the case can be wiped down as well, and the metal will appear more shiny if wiped down. Be careful about your toys touching inside of this case, so learn what materials can touch each other and what materials can’t before you shove them all together. (If you have jelly toys, PLEASE put them in a plastic baggie first. They are the worst offenders at ruining other toys. They also tend to stink up small areas like a case.) This case is small enough to easily fit on a bookshelf or stored underneath the bed. You could even slip it into a pillowcase if you wanted extra “stealth”.

Large Lockable Vibrator Case

Size comparison between the large and small. It can be a bit difficult to see, but the small is sitting on top of the large.

I’m fond of the Large Lockable Vibrator Case. It’s a neat case that will easily hold most people’s collections, and for me, it’s going to help hold some of mine in a nice, discreet way that keeps them away from harm. The case is high-quality and should last a long time. As a sidenote, if you are looking at purchase one case but are unsure between this one and the Small Lockable Vibrator case, go with this one if the size it takes up isn’t an issue. It stores so many more toys and will give you room to grow. The Large is twice the price, but you honestly get four times the storage. This sex toy store sells toy and condom storage, so check out the Large Lockable Vibrator Case today.

Good Vibes Soft Pack Review

Good Vibes Soft Pack Review

Showing how the packy hangs

The Good Vibes Soft Pack is a packing dildo sold by Good Vibes. The soft packs come in multiple colors – you can have caramel, coffee, and vanilla which are just a progression of white to black colors. You also get to choose your size. Size 1 is smaller at a four-inch long penis that is about an inch and a half in diameter while size 2 is larger at five inches with the same diameter. The soft packs are made of Cyberskin. The soft pack is made to be very realistic and has texture on the testicles as well as has a nice, detailed head that looks just like the head of a penis. The body of the penis even shows a few, very shallow veins. I can’t comment on the packaging since I didn’t receive this in the regular product packaging.

So, to let you know where I’m coming from, I’ve heard a lot of great things about this packing dildo. In fact, I’ve heard that it’s one of the best. I tried Mr. Limpy in Medium already, so I have a slight idea of what to expect from a packaging dildo. I own a regular strap-on harness to wear with the packing penises as well as they can also just be stuffed into my panties and worn like that. That’s just to give you a background on how I used this soft pack. To let you know, I have the Good Vibes Soft Pack Size 1 (Smaller size) in Vanilla (white).

Good Vibes Soft Pack Review

Showing how the packie sits when sitting up

I have to say that I honestly wasn’t very fond of the Good Vibes Soft Pack. It was just too firm – that was my main complaint. The dildo pretty much sits up at half-hard. Which is pretty neat when you think about it because it could be used possibly for penetration as well, but all I want is a flaccid looking penis to stick in my panties. It doesn’t even have to create a bulge – it just has to look like a realistic-looking flaccid penis. This nailed realistic-looking, but it just didn’t nail the flaccid part. It’s definitely semi-firm, and the Cyberskin material that they made it out of doesn’t have much give to it either, so it feels like the penis is already half-hard with blood. It doesn’t feel anything like the squishy, flexible feeling of a flaccid penis.

From there, I have to say I wasn’t fond of the darker tint to the packing penis. That’s really a personal preference though. I’m as white as can humanly posssibly be, so the regular skin color of this one was too dark. However, for most people, this will probably be pretty close to the perfect shade to their skin tone. It really does look white flesh-colored and the color will match up with most fair-skinned wearers.

I didn’t find it a problem, but when the boyfriend touched it, he complained of the scent left on his hands afterwards. You really can’t smell the scent of the soft pack at all unless you smell it off of your hands, and the actual pack itself is odorless. The scent left on your hands slightly smells of cornstarch which makes me think that the scent is just the scent of cornstarch that has softened the packing dildo.

On the good side, these are just my complaints. I have something very specific I’m looking for in a soft pack, and from the reviews I’ve read on this packing penis, they’re pretty unique to me. Most people seem to enjoy the half-hard state as well as the pretty-much perfect color for most people.

Good Vibes Soft Pack Review

Showing how long the soft pack is

Something to consider is the type of clothing that you will be wearing. When wearing this with my pair of panties, it didn’t make much of a difference, but if you choose to wear it with a harness and use boxers and typical “male” clothing (loose sweatpants), this will make an obvious bulge. It will really look like you have a hard-on. However, using it with the panties seemed to curb that look a little bit – I recommend having good fitting panties for wearing this because if you have panties that are too large, this will pull down your panties and sit around like a lump in your panties. Because of the testicles, it didn’t work real well in my strap-on harness – it pressed slightly uncomfortably up against my skin. Because of that, I’ve stuck to wearing panties with this one. There are special packing harnesses that would work well with this though I honestly don’t own one.

To clean this little guy, you just use some mild soap and water. This will get rid of most of the bacteria. If you intend on using this for penetration, I recommend covering it with a condom. (Though I haven’t tried it – I wonder if the condom would slip off?) Make sure it’s fully dry then dust the surface with cornstarch to keep it feeling realistic. This should be compatible with all types of lubricant, though I really couldn’t insert the toy – you may possibly be able to. It doesn’t seem to attract too much dust or lint, but I still choose to keep mine in the packaging it came in to protect it from harm.

So for me? This packing penis felt a little too hard and made the wrong kind of impression that I was going for. I wanted my packing penis to feel like I just had a regular, flaccid penis. This one makes me feel like I’m a pervert a lot of the time. However, that’s just for my own needs. For someone who is looking for a packing penis that is going to provide a good bulge, look realistic, feel realistic, and have a good amount of weight to it, this one fits the bill perfectly. It’s a good packing penis – it’s features just don’t fit well for me. To pick up this gender expression and play sex toy, go to this sex toy store and purchase the Good Vibes Soft Pack.
