1 Ring Leather Pink Slave Collar Review

1 Ring Leather Pink Slave Collar

Love pink? A bondage-focused company called Luxurious Bliss has you covered – especially with their 1 Ring Leather Slave Collar with Faux Fur Lining and Locking Buckle. While the exterior material includes multiple layers of leather, the interior layer is a soft layer of faux fur material. The collar is 1.25″ in width, and it includes a single O-ring at the front of the collar for bondage purposes. The collar is available in a Small and Medium size with different measurements for each collar. The collar comes equipped with a locking buckle (but no lock), so you can provide your own lock to fasten the collar onto your partner.

The Luxurious Bliss 1 Ring Leather Slave Collar comes in a discreet shipping box. In memory serves me correctly, it also included a small tag about care and information about the collar as well. The shipping box was entirely discreet, and there was no indication about what was inside the package.

The 1 Ring Leather Slave Collar is a basic – but very functional – collar. The collar has a single O-ring attached to the front of the collar, and it’s made entirely of a nice, supple leather. You’ll note that the black base of the collar is a single layer of leather while there’s a pink layer of leather attached to the base black layer by rivets. The faux fur is attached to the interior of the black layer by rows of stitches along the top of and the bottom of the fur. All of this works together for a simplistic, but very functional, collar. This collar likely won’t hold up to extreme scenes where the “captive” is putting a huge amount of weight onto the O-ring of the collar, but it will likely hold up to virtually any other type of bondage you had in mind. It certainly is very-up to the task of functioning as a bondage point to keep someone still or to attach someone’s wrists or ankles.

It’s worth noting that this pink BDSM collar includes a locking buckle instead of a standard buckle. While a lock isn’t included, this means that you can purchase a small lock (such as those that come in a four pack at your local big box retailer), that can slide into this little “loop” included on the buckle. Once that lock is slid into the loop and locked, the wearer cannot remove the collar until the lock is unlocked. After all, the loop won’t fit back through the fastener, so there’s no way to get the collar off outside of cutting off the collar.

A slight annoyance for the visual appeal of this collar is that the black collar base isn’t rivet-attached all the way around. This means that, as you wear the collar and move around, the black collar tends to separate itself away from the pink layer near the back. This can get itchy on occasion, and it just doesn’t look too “good” when looking at the collar from the back. As the majority of this non-rivet area is because the pink strap needs to be used to slide into the buckle of the collar, so I’m not sure what the best solution for this would be. Possibly a slightly-raised edge along the backside of the collar to help keep the piece over-piece in place? I’m not sure. It doesn’t affect the function or bondage aspect much, but it can get itchy when the two pieces separate.

When you add faux fur into the interior of a collar like this, you’re hoping it will make the collar softer on the skin. With this Luxurious Bliss collar, that’s exactly what happens. The interior of the collar definitely feels a whole lot softer on the skin. After wearing the collar for awhile, the faux fur begins to ‘flatten”, and it’s a lot easier to feel the rivets on the interior (which aren’t covered by faux fur). The faux fur can also start to feel a bit warm after a long wear. However, it’s still a whole lot better than the alternative of itchy, unpadded leather, so the faux fur is a good addition that most people will welcome. Just be aware that it might make this collar a bit harder to wear in warmer situations or as it gets more worn-down.

With a leather and faux fur collar like this, you don’t want to get it entirely submerged in water. Instead, it’s best if you use a slightly-damp washcloth and wipe down the surface of the collar to remove any sweat or body oils after use. Leather may not like many types of soap, so make sure to be careful what you allow near your collar. For storage, I’d recommend you lay the collar flat – or keep it stored buckled up in a natural circular shape. Don’t allow it to get too squished in an unnatural shape (such an oval) as it may wrinkle the leather in ways you won’t usually use the collar.

Overall, if you want an affordable and adorable pink leather collar, this 1 Ring Leather Slave Collar from Luxurious Bliss is going to work pretty well for you. Not only is it decently adjustable, but it’s a simple, yet functional, way to enjoy bondage with your partner. The 1.25″ width makes it comfortable (yet visible) during wear, and the locking buckle on the back fastens as an added way to ensure your partner stays in the restraint you’ve put them in. Thanks to Luxurious Bliss for sending out this pink bondage collar for my 1 Ring Leather Slave Collar with Faux Fur Lining and Locking Buckle.

How To Be Knotty Intermediate Rope Bondage Tutorial Book Review

As you can see, the rope goes from the “basics” to “more advanced” as you go along in the book. Harder ties may build along some of the things you learned in the “basics” section, but nothing requires that you have gone in order – it’ll still explain steps. The majority of the introductory chapters are lots of words, but honestly, it’s words that you really should be reading. There’s some good information about safety, rope choice, and other things you’ll likely find applicable to actually using the suggestions in the rest of the book.

The book is particularly gorgeous and well-designed as well. High-color photo pages? Check. Nice, easily-organized information? Check. It’s possible to easily work through this book starting from the first tie and moving towards the end – it’s nice and “progressively harder” like that. It’s also possible to skip around and pick one particular tie you want to do at that given moment. The book is pretty well-organized, and you’ll find it pretty easy to find the tie you want.

How To Be Knotty Intermediate Rope Bondage Tutorial Book Review

As for the rope work itself, it’s a mixture of “mostly functional and somewhat decorative”. Some of it is haphazard-looking – and that’s on purpose. Most of the rope bondage suggestions in this book will focus on functional ties that will actually restrain your partner. Expect a lot of wrist, chest harness, and leg-to-thigh ties. There are a couple ties that are mostly decorative, but the overall theme seems to be “pretty, decently-easy, and fun ways to restrain your partner with rope”.

With all that in mind, how much experience should you have? Well, I’d recommend having touched rope a couple times and used it to restrain your partner a couple times, but nothing intensely important is required. The author will name knots by name a couple times, but if you’re willing to do a quick Google search while following the instructions, you’ll be able to follow along with the rest of the instructions. Lark’s Head is mentioned quite a few times along with “cinching” or “make a knot”. If you truly want to prepare, learn how to do a couple basic knots and single column ties and take your time going through the first instructional chapters, and you’ll likely be fine.

And finally: how easy is it to follow the instructions? I will, personally, probably always be much more of a fan of following instructions for rope bondage via a video instead of photos. That being said, it seems to depend on the tie. Some of the more complicated, decorative ties seem like they could have used more photos to truly get across what was going on. Some of the more basic, functional ties seem to do just fine with the amount of photos they have. Either way, you’ll likely end up doing a bit of “trial and error” on a couple ties until you figure out what the author was trying to communicate.

How To Be Knotty Intermediate Rope Bondage Tutorial Book Review

The spine of the book doesn’t lay flat particularly well (a complaint for any book that offers instructional steps I’m supposed to be referencing while I do something). I’ve had to crease the hell out of the spine AND use heavy objects on both sides of the book to try to hold the book open while I’m trying to follow the printed steps. A spiral-bound book would have worked better for this purpose, but I’m not sure it’s financially-suitable or would have high-enough durability. This effect is particularly pronounced compared to other types of rope bondage books because of the high-quality photo paper that makes the book thicker.

One of my biggest complaints about this how to do rope bondage book is that almost all of the photography feels “male gaze” pornographic. Lots of lesbian shots. Lots of women in barely-there lingerie looking orgasmic in rope. A few fully-clothed-in-suits male rope tops with – you guessed it – women in lingerie looking lustfully at the camera. One (maybe two?) sets with a female rope top and a male rope bottom – again, with the woman in lingerie while the man has an unbuttoned shirt. All bodies are “model” bodies with slender women with large breasts and very muscular men. In the book’s defense, nothing is blatantly hardcore pornography, but it definitely feels on the “softcore, male-gaze-focused” side of things. There are female butts (with panties up the crack) and some barely-visible female nipples through lingerie. If that sounds like something that would turn you and your partner on and make it more fun to practice, have at it! However, be aware that it exists in case it’ll cause you to feel uncomfortable.

Despite that “porn” issue with the photography, Morpheous does do a good job of giving some “context” to ties. As-in, if you’re doing a wrist or upper-body tie, the “final product” photo will show you a particular predicament that the model is in. It might just be laying on the bed, or it might partner that upper body tie with one tie that restrains the leg/thigh and a second that has her other leg restrained to a bed post. These “finale” photos will give you some good inspiration for how/where to use the ties – even if they do look more like shots from a rope porn more than an instructional book.

(All things aside, Morpheous is a good photographer. The shots are well-lit, clearly show the steps, have flat, clearly-showing-everything lighting, and look pretty. I would definitely guess that he shoots kink porn shoots for a living/hobby.)

How To Be Knotty Intermediate Rope Bondage Tutorial Book Review

That all being said, I’ve read a couple of Morpheous’ rope/kink books, and this one is probably my favorite. Many of Morpheous’ previous books fell victim to pretty photography that wasn’t particularly applicable to the topic in the text. This seems to be mostly-ish eliminated in “How to Be Knotty”. Since the entire book focuses around rope, all of the photos are mostly on-topic. No longer will there be a photo of ball gags next to information about finding your local community. All the photos are on topic. (Which was usually one of my biggest pet peeves)

Overall, this book is well set-up, offers a lot of good information, and is intermediate enough for people who have experience with rope without going off into the stratosphere of difficulty like some “advanced” rope bondage books tend to do. I have some bones to pick with the not-average-looking models they choose to use for the modeling, and I think some steps could have been better illustrated, but it’s, overall, a solid book that you’ll likely pick up a good amount of information from. Thanks to Morpheous for sending along this intermediate rope bondage book for my “How to Be Knotty” book review.

4 Tips for Choosing an Adult Toy to Share with Your Partner

August 24th, 17   •   Posted by Mistress Kay   •   No Comments »

Whether you want to explore your sexuality or try to achieve different types of orgasms with your partner, then shopping for sex toys together is one way to open new doors to pleasure. Even if you have owned a simple vibrator in the past, exploring other adult toy options with your partner can help you grow closer as a couple and help you discover more about each other’s bodies. Once you’re ready to shop, here are a few tips you can keep in mind to make the experience a positive one.

Talk About Your Desires

If you are going to find an adult toy that satisfies both you and your partner, it is important that you talk plainly about your desires. Being frank about what turns you on and what you are looking for in a toy can be vital when it comes to achieving satisfaction from it. Sit down with your partner and make a list of what your toy should be able to do for you, from providing different vibration settings to offering deep penetration. It might turn out that your partner was hoping for a jaunt in public while you were hoping for a pleasurable vibrator the two of you could use during intercourse. Having this conversation allows you both to figure out what toy fits both of your vision – and it can work as great foreplay!

Browse Your Options First

You might have some idea of what adult toys look like, but today’s technology has given rise to more choices than ever. Because of all these options, you and your partner might want to explore them before you settle on one particular style. You may even discover something completely new that has settings and features to satisfy you both in ways you never dreamed of. Plus, who doesn’t love thinking about all of the sensual, hot ways you could use these toys on each other? You both might end up taking the passion to the bedroom – long before the toy even arrives in the mail!

Consider Your Orgasm Needs

Not everyone achieves orgasm in the same way – no matter their body type. You may need moderate stimulation to your clitoris or you may prefer a G-spot orgasm while your partner might enjoy anal play. No matter how you reach the heights of pleasure together, the adult toy you choose should be built to meet those needs. Consider a model with a clitoral wand or other attachment to give your pleasure zones the extra attention they might need. Otherwise, be prepared with a fun way to ensure both parties achieve satisfaction – even if the toy you choose pleasures only one of you.

Be Adventurous

One of the biggest thrills of choosing a sex toy for the time is discovering new ways of sharing pleasure with your partner, so don’t be afraid to get adventurous with your shopping. For example, grab a double ended dildo for mutual masturbation fun, or choose a strap-on model to enjoy a bit of role play. The choices are endless, so dive on in and try new things together. Just remember: if your playful adventure doesn’t end in mutual pleasure for the both of you, make sure the two of you end up with pleasure otherwise. You don’t want to leave a sour taste in either of your mouths about trying new things in the bedroom.

Shopping for an adult toy with your partner can foster feelings of extreme intimacy and give you a chance to discover each other on a deeper level. Remember to keep communication open, be honest about you what you want in the bedroom, and explore sexual pleasure together for maximum satisfaction.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device Review

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

Interested in chastity? Welcome to the Lock Your Man Up! Male Chastity Device made by Sexy Slave and sold on Amazon. Made entirely of plastic, this cage comes with everything you’ll need to place a penis into chastity. A generic version of the CB-6000, this cage is offered in two varieties: a longer shaft cage and a shorter shaft cage. Best measurements are provided by checking the Amazon page, but the longer version is 3.25″ in length with a diameter of 1 3/8″ inside the cage. The shorter version is 2.5″ in length with a diameter of 1 3/8″ diameter inside the cage. Both cages come with the same-sized base ring size diameters: 1.5″, 1 5/8″, 1.75″, 1 7/8″, and 2″.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

All of the parts of the Lock Your Man Up! Male Chastity Device come squished together in a zipper pouch. Getting them all back into the pouch is a tight fit, but it’s entirely do-able. The Lock Your Man Up! Male Chastity Device comes with the cage itself, five base rings, 3 different-sized locking pins and spacers, one brass padlock, and 5 individually-numbered plastic locks. Once you get the perfect equipment for the best fit for you, you might want to consider keeping all of the “bonus” parts in a plastic bag within the zipper pouch to make it easier to grab out only the chastity cage parts you want.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

The Lock Your Man Up! comes with multiple types of locks. You’ll receive a brass padlock in addition to five plastic locks. Each one of these plastic locks has an individual printed lock on it. Similar to a zip tie, the only way to get these locks “off” is to cut them off. So if you want to avoid using a relockable lock like the brass padlock, you use one of the numbered locks, your keyholder makes note of the number, and then he’ll/she’ll know if you change the locks without telling them. As you can imagine, those are single-use locks, but the brass padlock can be reused over and over. I’d recommend testing out your brass lock multiple times on its own to ensure it opens and shuts smoothly to avoid getting “stuck” in your device.

Once you have the cage, this set also includes instructions for use. The instructions are words only with no illustrations. The instructions gives basic information about how to put on the chastity cage. It seems the semi-sleek paper the instructions were printed on can lose the words with multiple folds (along those seams), so I’d recommend not crumpling it up if you can help it.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

The instructions do a decent, but not fantastic, job of teaching you how to put on the cage. You’ll figure out the exact way to get it on with time and practice, but I highly recommend watching a YouTube or other video of a similar-style cage. Seeing everything in real-time really will help with getting this one properly situated. That being said, if you have nothing else, the instructions will help – it just might be a bit of a case of trial and error until you get it right.

As with any chastity device, the most important aspect is going to be “fit”. This device could be the most-perfect-item you’ve ever bought – or it could be frustrating and never work right. That’s the magic of a properly-fitting device. With that in mind, the company offers a longer version and a shorter version depending on flaccid penis length. Make sure to pay particular attention to the measurements before selecting a cage as getting a properly-fitting cage is the secret to having a great time with the cage.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

Now, chastity cages can run from $20 all the way into the $2-4 grand range. So this is definitely on the “lower end” of chastity cages. That being said, that doesn’t make it problematic or useless. In fact, if you’re not sure chastity is going to be your kink or if you’re going to like the feel of a chastity device, something like the Lock Your Man Up! Male Chastity Device is a good, affordable purchase. You shouldn’t spend your entire savings on something you’re not sure you’ll love. That’s where this budget item fits in.

That being said, the perfect-fit mentions given above pushed aside, this cage is still made from plastic. The plastic does appear to be smooth along all of the areas that might potentially touch the bottom, but due to the design, it does get a pinchy once in awhile. It’s not always a problem, but when it happens – well, you’ll notice. Using lots of lubricant near the base definitely does help a bit, but it requires a very good fit on the cage itself to ensure the extra lubricant isn’t going to result in a cage slipping off the penis.

That being said, if you get a perfect fit and have no problems with the cage, I can’t come up with any reason you shouldn’t be able to wear this as long as you’d like. Keeping in mind that you should strip it off once a week for cleaning and maintenance (and maybe a bit more often if you don’t line up with the urination hole), if the cage fits comfortably, I see no “warning” concerns about the fit or design. There seem to be more possible “ouch” opportunities than some of the higher-end cages, but this cage should work fine for trying out chastity or only keeping someone in a cage for days at a time instead of weeks at a time.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

This cage could be worn 24/7 if desired. There’s a hole for urination at the tip. Depending on your body, your penis may or may not align perfectly with the pretty-large hole, but it will allow the urine to drain regardless. This particular hole will also begin to make erections pretty uncomfortable. Because this hole is decently large, the skin will try to escape this way, and you’ll soon find yourself trying not to get hard (which is the point of a chastity cage, really) to avoid feeling that sensation. I’ve been told that it’s definitely not pleasant.

Lock Your Man Up! Plastic Male Chastity Device

When it comes to cleaning a chastity cage, you’ll have two parts: the human and the cage itself. The interior of the shaft portion seems to get the most dirty with this cage. Attempting to get shower water to slide down the cage’s shaft does help keep it a bit cleaner. The cage needs a thorough cleaning after every use, and if you’ve found a good enough fit for long-term use, make sure to strip this off of your partner once a week. The cage should be cleaned with warm water and anti-bacterial soap – and make sure to get a non-abrasive brush that can slide into the shaft cage and clean the walls of the cage. The human penis should be cleaned too. Use water-based or silicone-based lubricant when attempting to put on the cage – different lubricants will not harm the surface of this cage.

Overall, while you may want to upgrade to a non-budget device for long-term wearing, the Lock Up Your Man! Male Chastity Device offers a lower price point to allow couples (or solo people!) to try out chastity without worrying as much about their budget. This device allows for a bit of adjustment to fit your body as best as possible while also including instructions and generally functioning as a good “introduction” to what a chastity device could possibly offer. Thanks to Sexy Slave for providing this affordable male chastity device for my Lock Your Man Up! Male Chastity Device review.
