Tantus Tsunami Dildo Review

Tantus Tsunami Dildo
Tantus Tsunami Dildo

The Tantus Tsunami dildo is a silicone dildo made by Tantus and sold by SheVibe Sex Toys. The Tantus Tsunami comes in three cute colors (pink, light purple, and dark purple), and it is about six and a half inches long with the widest diameter (near the base) being about an inch and a half. The Tantus Tsunami has a hole in the base to insert a bullet, and it has a harness-compatible base for strap-on use.

The packaging for this Tantus dildo will resemble most Tantus packaging. You can use the packaging for storage, but you don’t have ti, and the packaging is larger than the dildo itself. The dildo does pick up lint and hair, though, so some plans for storage will work the best.

The Tantus Tsunami has a pretty interesting design. The silicone of the dildo is pretty firm, but it does have some flexibility to it – just don’t expect your dildo to be able to fold in half and you’ll be satisfied. The dildo’s material does have a slight bit of drag to it, so if you really want a smooth sensation, you’ll want to make sure to use lots of lubricant.

The “stand out” thing about the Tsunami is the texture of the dildo. There are ridges that run along the surface of the dildo; these aren’t tiny ridges either! These are definitely-can-be-felt-ridges that can actually be a bit uncomfortable if you aren’t warmed up and haven’t properly lubricated the dildo. The tip does have a slight curve to it, and there are three big “ridges” on the rest of the surface of the dildo underneath that tip. These ridges definitely stick out, and they are easily felt during use. Along with that, on the opposite side of those ridges, there is three small ridges are pretty close to the base. Depending on how deep you go with the dildo, you may not feel those ridges during use.

The Tsunami dildo comes with a hole at the base of the dildo to insert a bullet. This bullet is a new type of bullet that isn’t the standard, boring-looking bullet vibrator that Tantus used to use. This new bullet is much longer in length and a bit more powerful as well. It’s still a single-setting vibrator, and as it’s not attached to the dildo in any way, you can use the vibrator by itself if you don’t want to use it in the dildo.

I really like the newly designed Tantus bullet hole! The old holes just used to be that – just holes. However, this new bullet hole design is different. Aside from just being a hole in the dildo, there are small ridges on the hole which helps it transmit vibrations better, and the hole goes more deeply into the dildo. Along with that, the ridges are further “in” than the hole itself, so there’s a very slight opening around the bullet which makes it easier to grip. I’ve had many problems with Tantus dildos where the bullet was just pretty impossible to pull out! This does help allieviate the problem a bit, but for best results, I recommend adding a drop of lubricant into the bullet hole chamber before adding the bullet so the bullet will slide out easier.

The Tsunami also has a base to allow it to be used in a strap-on harness. This base seems to be the “newly designed” base as it’s much thicker than usual Tantus dildos. The base holds the dildo up really well, and when in a harness, there’s barely any drooping. It doesn’t retain that nice tilted slant when it’s in a harness, but it still has that g-spot curve to it. The base fits pretty comfortably into my harness, but if your harness is really tight on you (which means it may be illfitting), the dildo’s thick base may be a tad uncomfortable. I certainly didn’t find it so, though.

As for use, I think the Tantus Tsunami is going to be best for those that really like intense textures and ridges. Depending on how far you insert the Tsunami, you’ll get more ridges than with lighter insertions, but either way, it’s going to be a more intense texture than slimline dildos. The ridged texture ends up on the upper-side of the dildo as well if you’re using it as a g-spot toy, so depending on where your g-spot is, this could feel really amazing. It doesn’t hit where my g-spot is as my g-spot is pretty deep, but if you have a shallower g-spot, each one of the pronounced ridges could hit your sensitive spot as you thrust the toy in and out. You’d have to have a pretty shallow g-spot for this to work, but some people do, and for them, I could see that being really good.

For the rest of us, though, the dildo in itself is pretty unique. Those ridges offer a unique sensation that feels pretty good with thrusting. It tends to be a bit more painful with faster thrusting, but slower thrusting tends to work a lot better. I definitely recommend a ton of lubricant with this one just to make it more comfortable. The vibrations are pretty good with the bullet, and they certainly are a LOT better than the old-style bullet holes on the dildos. They still are on the buzzy side and the vibrations are focused more at the base than the tip, but you can feel the vibrations throughout the entire dildo which is what many people are looking for.

To clean the Tantus Tsunami, you can easily boil it as long as the bullet is out of the dildo. It can be regularly cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap, and it’s compatible with water-based lubricant. As the dildo’s material picks up lint and dirt pretty easily, you should find a bag or storage solution to keep this dildo in to avoid getting fuzzies all over it. For sterilization, you can just do the boiling mentioned above.

Overall, with the newly designed base and bullet hole, the Tantus Tsunami definitely has some improvements over older Tantus-style dildos. The texture on the dildo itself is pretty unique, and it will work best for those that love intense textures rather than those that prefer smoother toys. Thanks to SheVibe for providing this silicone dildo for my Tantus Tsunami review.
