The Rattan Cane Master’s Choice SR 28″ cane is a spanking cane sold by Cane-IAC. The cane is about 28″ long and is about a half-inch thick. It is Cane-IAC’s best-selling rattan cane, and it features a slip-resistant handle as well as a hanging strap for storage of the cane.
The Rattan Cane Master’s Choice cane doesn’t come in any particular packaging. At the base of the cane, there is a small tag that will be attached to the hanging strap of the cane, but aside from that, there is no other packaging. This little tag can easily be removed with a pair of scissors.
The Rattan Cane Master’s Choice spanking cane was definitely designed with quality in mind. The rattan shaft itself appears to be stuck really nicely into the handle, and I have no concerns that it’s going to slide out of the handle with regular use. The rattan itself appears to be well-polished, and despite running my hand over it multiple ways, it doesn’t have any splinters or rough edges. This will make it much safer for regular use than other wooden canes which sometimes are not fully polished.
The Rattan Cane Master’s Choice cane is not a very flexible cane, but it is pretty light-weight. It swings through the air really easily, and it hits really smoothly as well. It is definitely a stingy cane, and like other Cane IAC spanking canes that I’ve tried, it seems to do a really good job of reaching “under” the skin to directly affect the muscle. It can make the muscle pretty sore pretty quickly, so you’ll want to watch how long and how hard you use this cane. It can definitely cause bruising, and while it isn’t as intense as some of the other canes that Cane IAC makes (like their Delrin ones), it’s still much more intense than your average paddle or other spanking toys.
For handling, the cane actually ends up being an okay cane to handle. The slip-resistant handle helps quite a bit, and the cane doesn’t jiggle too much, so everything tends to land where you want it to land. It is very light-weight, so you’ll have to watch how hard you hit since it won’t “feel” like you’re hitting too hard. The cane is long enough to cover the full butt on most people when striking which makes it easier to use, but you can use just the tip if you want (but be aware it will be a more stingy sensation!)
For use, you do want to be careful with this as it was not intended for beginners. No canes are really intended for beginners. This one, though, can definitely cause some damage if used incorrectly, so only pick up a beautiful cane like this one if you know the safety requirements and usage behind wielding a cane like this one. This can leave marks or hurt someone if you don’t know what you’re doing, so that’s something to keep in mind.
For storage, you’ll want to be careful with this cane. We stored it where it had a heavy object on top of the rattan shaft of the cane, and it does appear to have slightly warped the shape of the cane. For storage, make sure not to place any relatively-heavy objects on top of the cane, and for best storage, store the cane by the hanging strap in a manner where weight can not be placed on top of it. Because of the intensity of the cane, I recommend using this only on fluid-bonded partners just because of the possibility of bodily fluids or blood getting on the surface of this spanking cane.
Overall, if you are looking for a BDSM cane that is going to provide stingy and deep sensations while looking like the “typical” schoolteacher rattan cane, this one does the trick really nicely. I still prefer the sensation and use of Delrin canes over this Rattan cane, but as far as Rattan canes go, this is one of the best I’ve ever seen.
