The Luxury Pink Slave Collar includes rivets all over the design which does help reinforce the design and the quality of the collar, and on the inside of the collar, there was a little bit of padding added to make the collar more comfortable. However, the padding is only added in the center of the inside of the collar, so the outer edges of the collar are still just rigid leather. This can make wearing the collar a bit more uncomfortable – especially if you have a shorter neck – but again, this is meant to be bondage, so you may end the fact that the Luxury Slave Collar does make your submissive/wearer remember that they’re wearing a collar. The harder edges weren’t enough to irritate – they just reminded him to not look down as then the collar would touch more of his skin.
The Luxury Slave Collar seems to have been made with quality in mind. I own the full bondage set from Sh! The leather of the collar does seem to be a bit heavy and a bit thick though. This leads to the collar being a bit hard to put on at first until you loosen the leather, and it also means that, for long periods of time, the collar may make you sweat underneath it. The leather does require loosening which will happen over time and with use of the collar, but do expect the first couple uses to be a bit more difficult than the rest of the uses will be. The collar is made from thick and high-quality leather, so it makes the collar a bit stiffer than other collars may have been.
The D-ring seems like it is going to hold up to some heavy abuse, and that’s fantastic. The collar doesn’t even “bend” when the D-ring is pulled, and the D-ring is really fully fastened onto the collar. The rivets are going to keep this D-ring holding up to a LOT of abuse, so if you tend to break your D-rings or just really want a collar that’s going to hold up to as much as you want to take, the Luxury Slave Collar does seem to do a good job of that.
Cleaning this collar is pretty easy. You’ll want to wipe the leather down with a damp cloth and avoid the pink suede bits as they don’t like dampness. The inside is the leather which can be wiped down easily, though, and which is where most of the wiping down should be occuring anyway. For storage, we tend to keep our curled up and fastened to keep the leather more loosened up, but as long as you don’t squish it under heavy objects, you should be fine with whereever you choose to keep it.
Overall, the Luxury Pink Slave Collar is going to do a fantastic job of looking beautiful, holding up strong, and being easy to use, and that’s exactly what I want out of my bondage collars.
