FunFactory Angelo MiniVibes Vibrator Review

FunFactory Angelo MiniVibes Vibrator
The vibrator sitting out

UPDATE MAY 2023: This vibrator is no longer in production. (The latest Fun Factory vibe, the VIM, would be my recommendation instead!) This review remains for anyone who is curious about it. The Angelo Waterproof Mini Rechargeable Vibrator is a small, silicone sex toy that is part of the FunFactory MiniVibes series and is sold by Good Vibrations. This vibrator charges through the Click ‘n’ Charge FunFactory charging system, and it’s about five inches long and about an inch and a half in diameter. The controls for this sex toy rest right on the silicone itself. The vibrator is waterproof as well.

The packaging is very basic, and it looks like all FunFactory packaging. It comes in a regular grey and red box with a magnetic panel that will allow you to see the sex toy and the sex toy’s features when you open it. As the packaging is the same as with the rest of the MiniVibes line (they all share the same box and inner tray), the pictures show the MiniVibes Spring, but the features are the exact same. My favorite is “steplessly adjustable”. I’m not really sure what that means, but you have to give them “props” for making good sex toys over there in Germany.

The charger comes in a separate box that will ship with your order. This is because, I’m assuming, people in Germany use a different charging adapter, and it was just easier to separate chargers-only than attempt to separate chargers-with-sex-toys-included. Both the charger and the vibrator came with instructions, and the vibrator came with a sample of the FunFactory lubricant as well.

Most of the packaging is recyclable.

The packaging and charger box

This sex toy is very basic in design, but it still looks adorable. The toy has a silicone body (that is not very plushy but has a drag to it) that also includes a g-spot curved tip towards the tip of the vibrator. Throughout the body of the vibrator, there are slightly little ripples that really can not be felt during use, and the base of the vibrator (where it charges) is plastic.

As the description of the toy says, this vibrator is rechargeable. It charges through the FunFactory Click’N’Charge system like many of their other modern vibrators including the Cobra Libre 2, the new G4 series vibrators, and the other MiniVibes. If you already own one of those sex toys, you can share the charger with this sex toy. As long as it is a Click’N’Charge charger, it will easily work with this FunFactory toy as well as the other compatible toys.

To charge it, the toy connects itself via magnets to grip onto the toy for charging. A red light glows bright red when it is charging, and normally, I swear, my light turns off when it’s done charging, but with the Angelo, it didn’t seem to turn off after about 12 hours. However, it does appear to be fully charged, so maybe it just didn’t recognize it that one time I charged it. The base to charge this sex toy is at the very bottom, and make sure you line up BOTH magnets and the red light comes on to know that it is charging. It’s very easy to line up the magnets, and you should have no problem charging it though.

The vibrator’s curve

The vibrations are pretty good on this vibrator. The buttons to control the vibrator are at the base of the toy in the silicone portion, and the buttons push down easily and are very easy to control. If the toy is inserted all of the way, it can be a bit difficult to get at the vibration controls though. The vibrations are relatively buzzy, and they aren’t deep, massaging vibrations. They are much more surface-type vibrations. The vibrations are on the high end of moderate, and they certainly are strong if you like buzzy vibrations.

The lower settings can barely be heard in the same room, but the strongest setting is the loudest, and it can easily be heard in the same room. As long as you stick to the lower vibration settings, this toy is pretty darn quiet.

For external use, the vibrator works pretty well. The FunFactory MiniVibes line seems to be “cursed” with the fact that the motor is located about an inch away from the actual tip of the vibrator. While some of the vibrations certainly do transfer all the way to the tip of the sex toy, they aren’t nearly as strong as they would be right at the source of the vibrations. If you like more diffuse vibrations, this will work amazingly for you if you want to hold the tip up to your body for the vibrations.

For me, though, I love strong vibrations, and I’d like to get the strongest I can. That’s why I actually turn the vibrator around. I point the tip away from my body and use the “back” side for external vibrations. Because it’s right next to the motor, it actually gives the strongest vibrations, and it’s much stronger than the tip of the sex toy. It fits comfortably against my body too, so using it “backwards” actually works pretty decently. The vibrations are a bit too buzzy for orgasm for me, but I require strong, powerful vibrations, so this one isn’t quite enough. If most vibrators are fine for you, though, this one should be okay as well.

For internal use, it works all right. I can’t say that it’s amazing. The smaller size, while making it perfect for travel, makes it a bit more difficult for g-spot use. The FunFactory Angelo does have that g-spot curve at the tip, but because the insertable length is only about 4 inches, many people (myself included) may find it difficult to get the perfect angle and still be able to comfortably hold onto the vibrator – especially if you aren’t that flexible. It does feel pleasant when inserted, but this vibrator does seem to work best for partner-play because of the smaller size if you are hoping to hit the g-spot with it.

The toy at an angle

Where this vibrator really excels is travel. Because of its small size and less “obvious” aspect of it, it can go through airports without much of an issue (hopefully!). The small size makes it fit into luggage well, and the quiet aspect of the vibrations works well if you have to use your vibrator in close-quarters with another person. It’s decent at clitoral stimulation, and not-perfect at internal stimulation, but it does both things well enough to make it a good choice to take with you.

Cleaning up this vibrator is pretty darned easy. You just have to use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean it up. Because it is waterproof, it’s pretty easy to clean up, and it easily slips into a condom for multiple-person use. It’s only compatible with water-based lubricant, and unfortunately, this sex toy is a lint/fuzzy magnet, so make sure to store it where no lint and fuzzies are going to get attached to your toy.

Overall, the Angelo, due to its small size and quiet vibrations, works well as a travel companion. It is very versatile in what it can do, and the vibrations are quiet enough for most areas – and even quieter when inserted. It’s versatile, body-safe, fun, and easy to use which makes it a winner in my book! I really just wish the vibrations were stronger. Thanks to GoodVibes for sending this vibrator for my Angelo Waterproof Mini Rechargeable Vibrator review.
