Ayata Wash Cloth Review

Ayata Wash Cloth

The Ayate Wash Cloth is a little bit of a different item than I usually review on here. Normally I stick to the sex toys and related accessories, but this one is related. It’s a sensual body product just like sexy bubble bath made to enhance and clean your skin. Athena’s Home Novelties offers a wide variety of massage and relaxation products for purchase while still offering sex toys as well.

This Ayate wash cloth is longer than your average wash cloth. It’s about seven inches by seven inches. It’s made from 100% Agave Fiber, and it is made to be mildew resistant. It’s supposed to last at least one year of regular use.

While there isn’t much to say about a wash cloth, I will try my best. I basically wanted this because I have dry skin. Lotion usually helps quite a bit, but I do have dry skin on areas where I regularly shave like my legs. I’ve never owned a exfoliator before, so when I have dry skin, it just doesn’t look as nice as it could. I really wanted to try out this washcloth to have the ability to exfoliate my skin.

So how does it feel? While it’s larger than a regular washcloth, it’s still easy to hold in your hand. It’s very easy to lather up with soap as well, and the soap seems to stay nicely on the cloth. It is, however, slightly scratchy as it wouldn’t exfoliate well if it wasn’t very scratchy. It does scratchy slightly, but it did also clear my skin really nicely from the dry skin, so I can’t complain much about that. It also rinses out really nicely, and it can just be hung up to dry afterwards without much of a fuss.

The only complaint I have about the cloth is that it has a scent to it. Most of my washclothes are cotton, and therefore, have no scent, but with this one, it smells like natural fibers. This scent is very noticeable the first couple times you use it, and it becomes less noticable over time. From personal use, though, the scent doesn’t stay on your skin after you’ve completed using it though, so it only has a scent when using it. The scent isn’t a bad scent – it smells like natural fibers or bamboo, but it is noticable when using the washcloth.

This washcloth can be treated about how like other washclothes are treated. After use and lathering of the soap, you just need to rinse the entire washcloth to get the soap out of it. After that, you can just hang it up to dry. The box says you can put it in the washing machine, but I’ve avoided it so far as I’m not sure the rough cycling of the washing machine will help it much. It has had no problems just drying in the shower after use.

Overall, I like the Ayate Wash Cloth from Body Crystal. It has softened up my skin, and it’s neat to have something that’s environmentally friendly instead of the regular cloths we use. Will this replace our other cloths? No as it seems a bit too scratchy and I’m not fond of the scent. However, I have been using it very regularly in the shower to help get rid of the dry skin and help keep my skin softer, so I would definitely purchase it again. Thanks to Athena’s Home Novelties for sending me this relaxation product for my Ayata Wash Cloth review.
