Join a Sex Toy Review Program

January 26th, 11   •   Posted by Mistress Kay   •   30 Comments

When I was a little blogger trying to find other sex toy review programs, I figure I must have been the most annoying person ever. If someone reviewed for a company, I’d attempt to find an e-mail to contact them about their review program. I love reviewing free sex toys, and my dedication showed. However, usually the contact form is not the best place to find out about a review program, and it led to a lot of dead ends. As such, I’ve contacted some of the more prominent review programs out there, and asked them about their requirements, what they let out review, and their contact e-mails to save you a lot of trouble. I’ll be updating this list as I find out and contact more companies. Companies, if you see this list and would like to be included, contact me by e-mail on my sidebar, and I”ll be happy to add you in.

All of these companies were asked for their participation and information. As such, I strongly, STRONGLY ask you not to contact a company unless you meet their sex toy program requirements. They were nice enough to allow me to make this easy guide for you; let’s not beg to be allowed into their programs. If you need help getting to their requirements, check out my Sex Blogger’s Resource Guide.

BetterSex.com

Requirements: No blog required. BetterSex’s review program is on their website. You must make a purchase from their website and write two on-site reviews of the products to be accepted. Acceptance is based upon good written reviews. Full details of requirements.
Review Items: They have two levels of reviewing status. The higher level can request more expensive products, but after a time frame, higher-priced products will be allowed for request by lower-level reviewers. Items are selected from a webpage listing that is regularly updated. One/Two items are allowed in a blogger’s possession at any given time.
Extra Information: Since BetterSex.com’s review program information is public information, they were not asked to be included in this resource guide.
Contact Info: Joining Information is Here.

CalExotics Sexpert Program

Requirements: Requirements are not publically available, but it seems to require an established review blog.
Review Items: CalExotics send out one of their brand of toys every month to every enlisted reviewer. This product is a surprise and not reviewer-selected.
Extra Information: Since CalExotic’s program information is available publically online, they were not asked permission to be included.
Contact Info: To join the program, you can submit an application: Sex Toy Review Program.

EdenFantasys (On-Site)

Requirements: No blog required for the EdenFantasys review program. All of the reviews for this program are posted on their website, so everyone who signs up for an account is eligible.
Review Items: EdenFantasys offers a ton of available product options in multiple product ranges. Not only do they provide a monthly review item, but other review programs include Porn Club, a Book Club, and a Video Review program.
Extra Information: EdenFantasys offers a great review program, but they also have one of the largest sex communities. This includes a large sex forum for asking questions, a lot of sex toy reviews for making information purchases, video reviews to display the toy, and the EdenPoints program. The EdenPoints program is a reward program where you are rewarded in giftcards for activity on the EdenFantasys website which you can then apply to purchases.
Contact Info: Sign up for an account on EdenFantasys, and read the review program information. You can see my help guide for more information.

FunWares.com

Requirements: PageRank of 3 or above, Writing sample must be submitted, and acceptance is at their discretion.
Review Items: Reviewer chooses the item off of our website. It must be reasonably priced and not reviewed before.
Contact E-mail: customerservice (at) funwares (dot) com

GoodVibes

Requirements: Becoming a member of the GoodVibes Affiliate Program

Contact E-mail: Information can be found on their Review Program page.

Pink Cherry Sex Toys

Requirements: No specific requirements of bloggers. Newer bloggers are okay, but they only take a specific amount of new bloggers per season. PinkCherry is also very interested in finding Canadian-based bloggers.
Review Item: A batch of reviewer-okay’ed products are sent out ever 3-4 months. They send out most of the products they carry, but they also enjoy highlighting new products in stock.
Contact Info: nancy (at) pinkcherry (dot) com

TabuToys.com

Requirements: At least a two in Google PageRank (3 is preferred) and the blog must be at least six months old. All bloggers must also submit 2 reviews of products that TabuToys currently carries before receiving a free product to eliminate non-serious reviewers.
Review Items: They send out a monthly product in a reasonable price range.
Contact E-mail: storeadministrator (at) tabutoys (dot) com

TheAdultToyShoppe.com

Requirements: Must have your own blog or website. Website age does not matter, but it must be of good quality. The company invites you to e-mail them with your blog/website address and they will review it for inclusion.
Review Items: Every 6-8 weeks, the reviewer chooses an item for review to be sent out.
Contact E-mail: partnerships (at) legendsales (dot) net
Other Notes: TheAdultToyShoppe.com, an established sex shop with a loyal customer & reviewer base. We invite you to join the review program. Offers live chat and professional customer service eager to help with any of your questions.

Once processed, STAR reviewers are encouraged to look at the new release products on the Topco website to create wish lists of items they would like to receive. As these items become available for review they will be shipped.

Thank you so much for this. It has been very helpful and I appreciate the insight and information. Thanks again, Mistress Kay/Kayla!

By the way, please feel free to read my blog. I could really use some new viewers! (I only have a couple, sadly, since I just started out.)

I was wondering what you mean by the blogger can only have a certain number of sex toys in their possession at a time. Do you need to return the toys after the review? If so, how would the shipping work out (who pays)?

Mistress Kay says...

No, none of these companies ask you to return the toys. :) What I mean by that is: You can only have so many UNreviewed toys in your possession at a time. For example, if you can only have 2 toys in your possession at a time, let’s take this example: You request toy A and toy B for review. You can’t request toy C until you’ve reviewed toy A or toy B. Once you review one of A or B, then you have only “one” toy in your possession that is unreviewed, so you can request toy C for review. Did that help? :)

This is a great resource list! It’s surprising how many sites consider PR when honestly, it seems like google doesn’t start giving a site PR for at least a year, minimum. I never got one on my wordpress, and now that I’m on my own domain I’ll have to wait another year and see. Luckily FunWares let me start reviewing for them anyway! Jeff is so nice :)

This is so helpful. I just wasted a hour or two looking up some of this information before finding your page. Thank you for taking the time to compile this list…so helpful!

October 24th, 2011

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that twisted-miss.co.uk no longer has a review program. I was approved to review for them in late July, but had to defer for a number of reasons.

I emailed them again recently asking about their review program and they said that they have eliminated it due to the down-scaling of business. Just thought you should know so you can keep your list updated. Also, I don’t believe that their program ever had an affiliate program so their was really no cash flow involved.

Thanks,
Kisses and Kinks

Thank you for posting this information, I knew about most of the programs, but there are a couple I was unaware of. Unfortunately I have to work a while and build more of a reputation before some of the programs will accept me, but you have to start somewhere!

Wow what a great list of in depth information, thanks so much for compiling all this info, I have heard of some of these ,but other companies are new to me.

Hi there. This list is a great idea and some of these review programmes look brilliant, however, I’m in the UK and was wondering if you knew which, if any, of these shops would be OK with a UK reviewer?

I know that it’s less likely due to shipping costs, but I used to review with Vibrator.com (I’ve since moved on) who were OK with shipping to the UK, so I know it’s not entirely out of the question!

Any information you can provide would be very handy. Thanks!

I’m trying to get started now and having very little luck. I understand that GoodVibes is currently changing some things about their review program. I was told that details should be available within a month. I haven’t been able to get an item for reviewfrom them yet.

Of course things are changing at EF. I had been there a short time before I decided to start my own blog. The time I’ve spent there, you can’t get anything to review. There are too many people and not enough products available to review.

I am trying to work with some other companies but it’s slow going.
