Santa Duckie

The Santa Duckie. Such beautiful packaging.

The Santa Duckie is a little I Rub My Duckie product which is sold by Babeland Toys. He’s made from plastic and is completely body-safe. Santa Duckie is about three inches long by three inches tall. For those who own other I Rub My Duckies, he’s the same size as the travel-size versions of the ducks. He requires one AAA battery for use which is included.

The packaging for the Holiday Duckie looks great. He comes in a giant see-through plastic box that has a blue background with little snowflakes all over. Inside this giant plastic box is a small little see-through globe that holds the Santa Duckie. This is so the Santa Duckie can be put on the tree as an ornament. (He’s heavy, though, so if you want to use him as an ornament, you need to put some branches under his butt to support him.) Inside that plastic globe is the little Duckie. Really, though, the packaging is astonishing. It’s gorgeous and looks really amazingly festive.

As you can see, the Santa Duckie is dressed up like Santa. Since Santa Duckie is made from that plastic, he’s extremely firm and doesn’t have any give to him. There’s no squishy factor to Mr. Santa Duckie. He has a little hat on and wears a little Santa outfit on. His little arms stick out a little bit, and his bill sticks out the most. The instructions recommend using the duck’s butt or the duck’s bill for clitoral sensations for the most pleasure since they are the easiest spots to use. The duck is painted over in paint, and none of the paint has scratched off for us.

To be honest, I never had any intention of using Santa Duckie clitorally. I did it for the sake of science, but I knew he’d suck at it. The I Rub My Duckie series, while cute in appearance, do not make very good clitoral vibrators. They’re just really awkward to hold and never end up being very pleasurable. However, I wanted Santa Duckie since we’ve had a great track record with using these ducks for massage ducks.

You see, instead of using it on genitals, we use the duck along the back and thighs along with some massage oil for a full-body (duckie) massage. The vibrations that Santa Duckie gives off are pretty rumbly which makes it perfect for massaging muscles. We find it best to slide Santa Duckie along the back with the duckie’s back since it seems to have the least amount of resistence. Because of the duckie’s small size, he easily fits into the palm of my hand to make it even easier to glide along the boyfriend’s back.

Changing the batteries can be a bit of a pain with Santa Duckie. Santa Duckie has a little slit underneath him for the battery compartment. Using your fingernails will open it, but expect to break a few in the process. Instead, I recommend you use something with a flat tip like a screwdriver or a penny to open it up. Inside that compartment, you can insert the AAA battery with no problem then it just closes right back up.

The vibration level of the Duckie is just a single-speed vibration level. It’s a moderate vibration level; it’s not very strong. Most women would probably be able to orgasm with it, but it’s not very strong. It’s also a lot louder than I’d expect out of such a tiny duckie. This could easily be heard in the same room and probably through a closed door. Since the duckie is intended to be waterproof, this will easily be heard through the bathroom door too. He is a loud little duck!

My biggest complaint about the vibration is turning it on. There’s a little switch on the base of the duck that requires you to turn it 90 degrees for the Duckie to turn on. It’s not so hard to turn the Duckie on, but once he’s vibrating? It’s a pain to get that little duckie to turn back off. It’s especially hard to do if you have fingernails since you won’t be able to get such a firm grip on the base of the duck while he’s moving. It’s one of my biggest annoyances about the poor duck.

Santa Duckie can easily be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap. It’s compatible with both water-based and silicone-based lubricants. For storage, you can put it back in the original box or you can just leave it to sit out somewhere. I know we’re using ours as a Holiday decoration, so it just sits out on the table.

Santa Duckie is a bit useless as a clitoral vibrator honestly; he just doesn’t comfortably work for that. However, he’s a lot better for a back massage, and if you’re going to be purchasing this, it’s probably for the fact that the Duckie is wearing a santa suit. It makes a great holiday gift and is just downright adorable to boot. Thanks to Babeland Toys for sending me this vibrator, and you can pick up your own Santa Duckie as well.

I really wish the duckies worked better for clitoral stimulation because they’re just so darn cute, but I love the idea of using them for all over massage.
