Tantus Beginner Ball Gag

The Beginner Bal Gag.

The Tantus Beginner Ball Gag is a gag made for kinky play sold by FunWares. The gag itself is about and inch in a half in diameter and is made from soft silicone. The soft silicone makes it seem like it’s a smaller size. The head strap is made from leather and uses velcro to secure it onto a person’s head.

The Beginner Ball Gag comes in some blister packaging that shows the Tantus logo. The packaging is nice and classy and the see-through plastic shows off the gag itself. The gag and the leather strap are actually separate pieces – you do have to thread the leather strap through the gag before the first use. Unless you are stupid (like me) and put the strap in the wrong way like six times, this will take less than a couple seconds.

The ball gag itself is actually a pretty good size for most people. Beginner or otherwise, you shouldn’t have any problem getting the gag inside of your mouth. Male or female, there shouldn’t be a problem. Because it’s nice and squishy, you don’t have to worry about breaking a tooth while trying to wear the gag either. Really, it’s one of the best gags I’ve found in awhile. It will make your mouth feel full and keep you from talking without actually making you feel like you’re going to choke. Because the straps pull mostly on the gag itself, you won’t feel pain on the sides of your mouth from the strap pulling too tightly on the gag either.

The shape of the gag

The gag does come apart from the strap which is great for cleaning. The strap itself loops through two side holes on the gag then buttons onto itself. You can’t feel the buttons when the gag is on your head which is nice. The gag comes right off the leather and can be washed in warm water or antibacterial soap for cleaning. It also can be put on the top shelf of the dishwasher since the gag is pure silicone.

A problem we normally have with gags is that they’re too big, too smelly, or too icky to actually use. I’m happy to report we didn’t have any of those problems with the Tantus gag. The gag has absolutely no smell to it which was a good thing. It also has virtually no taste – it has a slight silicone taste, but after the first cleaning, the taste will go away. Like mentioned previously, the gag is surprisingly perfect in size. It gags the mouth without being uncomfortable, and it keeps you from talking without making you feel pained.

The Velcro closure that goes around the head was easily long enough to keep it buckle onto his head. The hair on your head can get annoying in the way of securing the velcro, but the velcro doesn’t tug on the hair painfully at all. The velcro has enough give that you should have no problem fastening this on most people’s heads.

Showing how squishy the gag is

The silicone is pretty nice and pliable. Even if you bite into it, the silicone doesn’t keep the bite marks. Instead, the silicone just seems to be strong enough to not get bitten into. However, it doesn’t hurt the teeth. The gag is definitely a full silicone gag – it isn’t plastic covered by silicone. It’s pliable and comfortable in the mouth.

The only awkward thing about this gag is the shape itself. It doesn’t look like a traditional ball gag. It looks more like a modified penis gag. A ball gag looks ball-like from the non-wearer’s point of view. This just shows the flat back of the gag. It isn’t bad appearance-wise, and it’s fun just knowing that your partner is wearing the gag. As with all gags, there is a slight bit of drooling that will go on while your partner wears the gag, and you should never wear a gag past the point of little pain.

To be honest, this is probably one of my favorite gags now. We own another silicone Aslan gag, and this one is just as awesome as the Aslan one. The Aslan’s silicone is a bit firmer – the Tantus silicone is a bit softer which makes it easier to bite down and deal with pain. Plus, it’s nice silicone that doesn’t have a taste, and it’s extremely easy to wash. This is probably one of the better gags out there, so if you’re interested, this adult toy store sells the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag.

I want this gag and have for.ev.errrr. Lucky duck you got to review it! Great review too, now I must have it! It looks so comfy. Does one get drooly mouth with this gag? I drool A LOT with both our ball and bit gags, I’m thinking it comes with the territory. Though the design looks like it may be more swallow-friendly. Just curious.

Can this be used to stop snoring if the snoring totally comes from the mouth? And, how resistant is the ball to collapse? Is it VERY soft, or does it offer some resistance, holding its shape?

OK, got it a week ago and, yes, it totally stopped my snoring! In fact, after I took it out and went to the bathroom, my girlfriend put it back in while I was asleep! One observation though, it may buck out my uppers since I noticed now some teeth movement (my upper teeth no longer contact my lowers) but she doesn’t care about that and, if she’s happy, so am I ! :)
