LELO Ina Review

LELO Ina
Showing the packagining of the Ina

The Ina is the first dual-stimulation vibrator that LELO has put out. It’s a luxury toy, and it’s sold by Adult Sex Toys. The white, control-panel part is made from plastic while the actual body of the toy is made from body-safe silicone. It’s a rechargeable vibrator and doesn’t require any batteries. It’s about eight inches long in total length with only about three inches of that being insertable due to the handle. The diameter is a bit large at about an inch and a half as well, and while the silicone is firm, the silky smooth texture of it (paired with some lubricant) should make insertion a lot easier than it might seem to be.

The packaging for the LELO Ina is just as amazing as all of the packaging for Lelo toys. The outside box is pretty and tasteful and says “Lelo” on the front with a picture of the toy on the back along with the specifications of it. Inside of the outer box is an inner box that can be used for storage. This box is plain black and looks very discreet. Inside of that, the Ina sits in a blister pack which is near-impossible to get back in once it’s taken out (I dislike their move from their product trays to a blister pack.) However, you can take out the inner seperation divider and store your Ina inside of the pouch then inside of the black box. It also includes the charger, an instruction manual, and warranty information.

Charging the Ina is easy-peezy. The charging port sits at the bottom of Ina, and it’s covered by a small silicone flap to help make the Ina splashproof. You just open up that flap and slip the small charging port in. From there, the Ina’s backlit control panel will flash white until it’s charged. Once it’s charged, it stays a constant white. It does take about two hours to fully charge, and since it doesn’t come charged, add this into your “playtime” wait. The one good thing about batteries is that you don’t have to wait. I haven’t had it happen, but according to the instructions, a red ring will start blinking during use if your toy is getting low on battery life. The manual says it will also take four hours of play off that two hours of charging. I haven’t had it long enough to test it, but the manual also says it should have a stand-by battery life of about ninty days.

The neat thing about the Ina is that it has two seperate motors – one in the clitoral piece and one in the shaft itself. These two different motors work together to make a very pleasurable experience. Unlike other rabbits, the Ina’s shaft does not make any specific movement – it just vibrates. The left/right buttons on the four-button control pad controls the strength of the vibrations while the up and down controls the vibration patterns along with whether one or both motors are turned on. I’m a little confused on how exactly all of this works, but I seem to figure it out enough to use it. I can’t figure it out enough to describe each setting, but I can easily say this has quite a few constant vibration patterns, has fun variation vibration patterns, and easily adjusts to include or exclude either the clitoral piece or the shaft. In case you want to travel with the Ina, it does lock – you just have to hold down all four buttons at the same time. (It’s not hard to do.)

You know what amazes me? Holy-crap-strong vibrations! It’s nothing near the Hitachi, but it’s definitely strong enough for me to need to keep it no where near the high setting. I can say that almost every woman is going to find a vibration setting that works for her. It’s ridiculously quiet too – I’m really impressed. You wouldn’t be able to hear this in the same room – at least not with a TV or music going. The only way you’d hear this in the same room is if it was on the highest setting – and on the highest setting, there’s no way someone would be able to hear this from another room.

So I was impressed so far. Easy charging, strong vibrations, and quiet vibrations – it’s like a a dream toy. Unfortunately, this is the part in my dream where I woke up – use. For me, the clitoral piece just didn’t line up. Which made me a very, very sad panda. I had had my hopes on Ina working for me for a very long time, so when I finally get my hands on her, to have it not work is so not fair. However, with a rabbit-style vibrator like this, it’s impossible to work perfectly for all body types, and mine is apparantly the body-type it didn’t work well for. I didn’t experience any pinching or anything with it not working, but the clitoral piece was a little less than an inch away from where it needed to be. The internal portion, while not hitting my g-spot, did feel pleasurable too, so I can’t complain about that. (I do recommend lathering this one in water-based lubricant though or it’ll be painful on insertion.)

I gave up on using it as a rabbit and just used it as an external toy after that sad failure each time I used it. And you know what? It’s amazing for that. I think I have to purchase the Mona now (which is just the LELO Ina but without the clitoral piece.) This is a dream toy – it’s everything I’d want in a rabbit, but it just didn’t work with my body, and it makes me so, so sad. However, I know a lot of women have had success with the positioning of this rabbit, so it’s quite possible that the Ina will work great for you.

The Ina is extremely easy to clean. It is splashproof but not waterproof, so don’t submerge the toy. You just use some water and some antibacterial soap to clean off the silicone portions of your Ina. For storage, you can put it into the satin storage bag and store it in the discreet box it came in. Since this is made of silicone, you should only use water-based lubricant on it.

The Ina is really a dream rabbit vibrator. I’d love it, cuddle it, and take care of it ’til death do us part if only it worked with my body. Which it doesn’t. And thus, I want to cry and ask what I did wrong to deserve this. Regardless, it’s a dream toy, and if you think this one will work, it’s seriously worth giving it a try. I wish I could have a custom-made Ina that would work better for me – I’d pay extra for it that’s how much I love this toy. The LELO Ina has set a standard for all rabbit vibrators out there, and if this is something you’re interested in, this sex toy store sells vibrators as well as the LELO Ina.
