Rabbit Fur Whip Review

Rabbit Fur Whip
The Flogger laying out

The Rabbit Fur Whip is actually a flogger and is made by Touch of Fur and sold by Sex Toy. It’s about two feet long, and it has an eight inch handle which leaves about 16 inches for the tails themselves. The entire flogger is black with the handle being made from wrapped suede and the tails are made from faux rabbit fur. The top of the handle has a D-ring in it that works well for hanging the flogger when not in use. The flogger has five different tails on it. It doesn’t come in any special packaging – it just comes wrapped in a plastic baggie. The two silver rivets on the sides of the handle keep the suede in place.

This flogger feels amazingly soft. It’s pretty hard to describe exactly how soft it really is, but it definitely feels like higher-grade fur than what you’d find at the local craft store. The hair on the strands is relatively long at about an inch. During use, we haven’t had any sort of problems with the hair falling off as the flogger is swung. The fur of the flogger just glides up against the skin very nicely. It also, however, will pick up bodily fluids, lubricant, or blood, so be careful about allowing liquid-like substances near the flogger for fear of ruining the fur.

The handle

The handle, unlike most other floggers, actually happens to be covered in suede. It appears like suede was wrapped around a wood piece underneath. The handle (and the flogger itself) are definitely really light, so I can’t imagine anyone would have a problem swinging this flogger. Since this flogger is black, it appeals to both genders, and the handle suits that as well; it’s thin enough to be comfortable in small hands without feeling too thin for large hands. The suede covering makes it really easy to grasp the handle of the flogger – even if your hands are covered in any substance. (I still wouldn’t recommend subjecting the suede to that though.)

The flogger just feels luxurious. There really is no pain to this one at all – in the slightest. Even with rough striking, the worst is a thuddy feeling. The rest of the time, you just feel the tails touch down on your skin, glide over your skin softly, then leave – there doesn’t seem to be much of a feeling upon impact. This makes it absolutely perfect for a warm-up flogger, beginner flogger, or a flogger for sex. There’s no way to make this fur scratch anyone or hurt anyone. Because it’s so soft, you don’t have to be so strict about the danger zones with light hits – with rough hits, I’d always mind the danger zones. The backside of each rabbit fur strand is just the backside of the fur, but it does feel a bit like suede, so no matter which side of the specific tail you feel against your skin, it’s going to feel nice.

Rabbit Fur Whip
Showing the softness of the tails

The biggest complaint I really have about this flogger is the lack of tails. There are only five tails. A whip has one. Some “unique” floggers have three. Cat-O-Nines have nine, and most floggers have somewhere in the 12-50 area. Once you get much higher than 50, it’s considered a “mop” flogger. Either way, this one seems like the tails were a bit forgotten when it comes to the flogger. The five tails, while feeling quite luxurious, don’t feel as “filling” as they should. I feel like there should be more heft to the flogger, and the boyfriends feels like there should be more tails striking him. We both agree that even double the tails (10) would have improved the flogger quite a bit. More than that would have been amazing. We both feel like the company stopped at five to save on costs. I think it would have been worth the extra couple dollars to have another layer of tails added to the flogger. It would have made it feel more luxurious, and as it stands, I feel like the handle of the flogger looks high-quality and professional while the lack of tails brings the appearance down a bit. Regardless of the amount of tails, though, it is a good flogger; I just feel like more would have made an improvement.

When it comes to cleaning, this flogger can be tricky. The handle, which is suede, should just be wiped down with a damp washcloth and dried. The tails can be cleaned with a damp washcloth as well, but you definitely want to let each one of those dry completely before putting it away. Neither piece should have soap added to it – especially the suede. It can dry out the suede, and I’m afraid it would ruin the fur too. Regardless, try to keep this flogger away from liquid-substances if possible. I can’t imagine it’s good for it. For storage, there’s a D-ring along the top intended for hanging; that’s how we’re taking care of ours. It shouldn’t harm the tails to have the flogger curled up in a drawer though.

Overall, the flogger is a pretty good piece of work. I’ve heard bad things about fur floggers in the past, but there’s no way it was about this brand. This brand seems pretty high-quality, and aside from the lack of forethought about the tails, I don’t have any other complaints about it. It’s nice, soft, sensual, and easy for a beginner to pick up. The black appeals to all different genders, and we absolutely loved using the flogger – especially if I was being lazy or in close proximity to him. SexToy.com sells this and other floggers, so if this looks like a great toy to you, check out the Rabbit Fur Flogger.
