CleanStream Enema Syringe Review

If you’re looking for a simple liquid or enema delivery system, the CleanStream Enema Syringe is here to provide. With a stated capacity of 150ml, this syringe is made from rubber and ABS plastic. The syringe is 8.25″ in total length with a diameter of 2.25″. The tip is 1.3″ in length with a diameter of less than 0.25″.

The CleanStream Enema Syringe comes packaged in a thin cardboard box. The box features photos of the syringe as well as information about the syringe itself. As you can imagine, it’s a pretty basic box. This box will get the Enema supply to you safely, but don’t expect it to hold up to long-term storage.

This enema syringe has a pretty basic design. In fact, you can pretty much figure it out from the photos. The entire body of the syringe and the plunger are made from ABS plastic – while the manufacturer placed a small, squishy piece of rubber at the end of the plunger to help force out every ounce of liquid possible. The syringe will hold more than 150 ml – but not much more. 170ml is probably it’s maximum before some of the liquid starts leaking out around the base of the plunger.

Due to the difficulty of most people being able to “truly” clean the small area of the tip, the CleanStream Enema Syringe should be considered a semi-disposable item. You can definitely get a couple uses out of it, but the bacterial danger becomes too high, after awhile, to consider continuing to use it. On the bright side, these syringes are extremely inexpensive, and it’s easy to pick up a new one when you get rid of your old one.

Now, I have to admit that I’m a little startled to see this tip on the enema syringe. Yes, it’s definitely a tapered tip, but it’s still a tip that’s made with stiff plastic – and a bit of unsmooth plastic at that! Before inserting this into any human being, I’d highly recommend stretching out the person beforehand with other toys that are of a larger diameter. Having the area loosened up in preparation of inserting the enema syringe will allow the syringe to slide in more easily – and will reduce the likelihood of any scratching from the plastic. I’d really shy away from starting with the Clean Stream enema syringe as “step 1” in your anal or vaginal play. The plastic edging of the tip honestly just worries me. A scratch isn’t likely going to be the be-all, end-all of your sexual play, but depending on where it is, it leaves the person open to possible infections and may just be downright uncomfortable for a few days.

So with all of that in mind, I’d actually recommend the CleanStream Enema Syringe as a part of scene with another type of anal item: a hollow anal plug. These anal plugs are designed with an entirely-hollow interior – which means it will offer the perfect “grand entrance” for using the Enema Syringe to squirt liquid into your partner’s body – or for things like enema play. In addition, it reduces a lot of the bacterial concern about this syringe touching any concerning substances during use. If you plan on having the recipient “retain” the enema, however, keep in mind that, with this method, the butt is being held open by a plug. That means three things: 1) you’re going to want to position the person in a “face down, ass-up” type of position to help the liquid stay in the body and 2) you’re going to want to watch how much liquid you insert. This will depend on your partner’s ability to take enemas, but too much liquid will mean it will, well, overflow. Let’s avoid that. 3) you’ll want to take out the hollow anal plug after inserting all of the water to allow the butt to close up and hold the liquid. As the hollow plug stretched the anus, however, expect a bit of unintentional leaking and prepare for that ahead of time.

Now, what you’re all curious about: how well does it work? Well, it does a pretty darned good job. To be fair, it only had one job to do: deliver liquid when and where you want it, and it does it well.

The syringe sucks up liquid pretty well, and I’ve never had a problem with it not getting the full liquid amount that I try to draw in. In addition, the syringe has a lovely amount of resistance – caused by the rubber – that makes drawing or pushing the plunge to feel extra fun. I’m not sure what it is – and I honestly would have never have been able to tell you that I thought it’d be hot – but it is hot. That extra resistance makes it feel like you’re controlling the finality of the decision of the syringe, and it’s fun. The measurements on the side add a bit of extra kinkiness – and the possibility for medical play. The base of the syringe offers a bit of a flange to allow your hands to easily grip the base of the syringe without sliding off – especially if lubricant is used. I’m sure you can guess that lubricant makes an entirely-plastic syringe relatively slippery, and this flange helps provide a gripping point for having the stability to fight the resistance of the syringe.

Cleaning on something like this is going to be a bit on the sketchier side. While it’s definitely possible to clean plastic material, the mouth of this syringe is extremely small – and not something that’s likely be cleanable by regular cleaning utensils you’d have at your home. For that reason, I’d consider this Cleanstream Enema Syringe relatively disposable. You can probably get 5-15 uses out of this syringe with regular soap baths after each play experience, but it’s probably not something that you want to keep around forever for bacterial concerns. Like mentioned, making soapy water, sucking it into the enema tube, and splashing it into the sink multiple times will likely help the syringe stay cleaner for longer, but with such an affordable price, there’s no reason to keep this enema syringe around for a long time – not when it’s so hard for the average person to clean properly.

Lubricant-wise, as this syringe is made from plastic, you can have a field day. Any type of lubricant will work just fine for using with this syringe. Just make sure you use a good amount of it – and to go slowly in addition.

As for storage, the CleanStream Enema Syringe is pretty simple to take care of. As it’s fully plastic, just store it wherever you’d like. Once it’s been thoroughly used, I’d just be careful about letting it touch other items in case of leftover bacterial concerns. A plastic baggie will solve this just fine.

Overall, the CleanStream Enema Syringe has been a lovely part of my enema scenes – especially when partnered with the vulnerability of a hollow anal plug. I’ve found a surprisingly erotic accessory in this syringe with the gentle resistance of the rubber stopper adding a bit of extra fun to otherwise-standard water enemas. While my enema syringe will likely need to be replaced in a few months, the low cost makes it an enjoyable and fun accessory for the price. Thanks to TucToc for providing this portable enema syringe for my Cleanstream Enema Syringe review.
