Not only could you use it for scientific curiousity, but it could be used for liquids, applying deep lube, or other bodily fluids. It also can just be used for humiliation/degradation purposes; it’s really up to you.
When wearing the 24/7 Anal Stretching Ring, it tends to be most comfortable to sit down on padded surfaces. While it won’t kill or cause pain to sit on hard surfaces like dining room chairs, padded ones tend to be a bit nicer to the unforgiving metal of the plug. Sticking to couches, padded seats, and bedding if you’re planning on using this plug regularly helps keep the plug feel “effortlessly not there” versus a noticeable pressure with your body weight.
The biggest thing you really need to be aware of when using the 24/7 Stretching Ring is the size. While you’re using this as a stretching butt plug, you need to be able to get the plug into the body in the first place. The tip has a very slight tapering, but for the most part, it’s going to start large and get slightly larger. With the rigid metal, the most important aspect is selecting a plug that’s a comfortable-enough size for you to take it easily. Slowly going from smaller plugs to the larger plugs is the best method, but if not, consider warming up with some of your other toys or fingers to be able to slide in this butt stretching plug.
As is a concern with any type of rigid metal, you should be concerned about the smoothness of the material. You have no reason to be concerned with this plug, though. The cut is extremely well-done. I don’t feel a single spot on this entire plug that concerns me. The only texture to the plug at all is on the retention area where the MEO logo can be found. It has no discernible texture during actual use, but you can feel it with your hands.
So how well does this plug stay in? It’s beyond fantastic, actually. The design has clearly been tested and tested again. The plug has a nice, long retention area that keeps it in the butt reliably and without any concern about it slipping out.
As mentioned before, you will definitely want to know that your body can accept the plug’s larger size. It has a very, very slight taper along the edges, but it isn’t going to be nearly enough if you’re not already prepared and comfortable with a toy that size. It seems to slide in best with a nice warm-up of at-least the same size. (For a plug like this, four fingers can do that warm-up) The lubricant needs a bit of lubricant on the plug itself, but if you’ve been already using a lubed toy for most of the warm-up process, it doesn’t require much extra lube.
Speaking of lubrication, the initial lubrication (if you do a decent job) should be enough to get you through many hours of wear. If you start moving more into 24/7 or “all day” wear, you may want to take it out to reapply, but the material really doesn’t absorb lubricant, so things stay pretty slippery.
The oddest sensation about this plug is the feeling of being “held open”. It’s a new type of sensation for pretty much anyone – especially without wearing clothes, you’ll feel air and breeze in spots you’ve, well, never felt it before. The entire experience is pretty unique, and partnered with the fact that it acts as just a regular butt plug as well, it’s a unique anal plug experience for those that particularly love being stretched from plugs anyway.
Since the purpose of this plug is stretching, you’ll be happy to know that it accomplishes that well. Depending on the size, it’d be pretty easy to get a gape on some of the larger sizes.

Any type of lubricant is compatible with this plug, and I recommend using quite a bit of lubricant to ensure comfort. The plug can basically be stored any way you’d like; it holds its own shape, doesn’t collect dust, and is relatively small and easy to store. Again, I’d recommend against storing it near any sharp or scratchy objects, but otherwise, wherever you’d like.
Overall, the 24/7 Anal Stretching Ring Large was designed to easily help stretch out the butt for other activities – or just for fun.
