TRUSKYN Tru Curve Silicone Dildo

Equipped with a g-spot curve that puts a lot of strap-on dildos to shame, the Platinum Silicone TRUSKYN Tru Curve Dildo is a silicone, body-safe dildo made by Doc Johnson. 6.5″ in total length with 6″ of insertable length and a diameter of 1.7″ at the widest point, this dildo is anal-safe and harness compatible. The toy is made with Dual Density silicone that offers a firmer inner core of silicone wrapped with a softer layer of silicone for more pliability.

Better than many Doc Johnson product packaging, the Tru Curve Dildo comes in a standard cardboard box with a plastic insert. The packaging isn’t spectacular, but it’s relatively informative and explains the toy and its features well. It could be used for long-term storage, but it is noticeably larger than the toy itself. Throwing away the package after getting your toy might be the best option. The toy also comes with a drawstring storage bag, a lubricant, and a “refreshing powder” for the toy.

I’ll admit that I have a bit of concern about the type of silicone that Doc Johnson used if it can use a “powder” dusted on the material to help the material feel like new again. This is partially my own ignorance, but I’ve never seen anything similar offered for 100% high-grade silicone toys like Tantus or FunFactory. This could be something new they’re trying, but it definitely makes me slightly wary.

Designed with a Dual Density silicone design, the Doc Johnson Tru Curve silicone dildo does FEEL great though. You can really feel the dual density silicone pours. It’s most noticeable near the base. The base is nice and firm, the dildo’s base shaft (near the base) is relatively firm, and the tip gets a bit more flexible. The toy does have a pretty good plushy feel to it. When you squeeze it, you get noticeably squeezing in. For those that don’t like a hard, rigid toy, this is fantastic. At the same time, while it’s a lot harder to bend the toy in half, the flexibility still allows the toy’s tip to touch the base when you use your hands. With proper use, the head mostly just slightly bends under any sort of pressure – but with the internal rigidity, it actually stays and rubs the g-spot surprisingly well.

Plain, flat base

Unlike some silicone toys, the Tru Curve dildo has more of a tacky silicone feel to it. It doesn’t feel silky smooth. It has that type of silicone that seems to “drag” along the skin. You’ll definitely need external lubricant to use this one; it absorbs most of your body’s natural lubrication relatively quickly.

While I tend to say that most “g-spot dildos” that have flexibility make relatively pour g-spot toys, the Tru Curve Dildo doesn’t fit that description. Partially because of the added rigidity and partially because of the very intense curve to begin with, the TruSkyn Tru Curve dildo doesn’t really “bend” under pressure. It still will have some flexibility to it that causes it to bend a bit, but the bend isn’t enough to reduce pressure to those sensitive areas. The ridging around the head will be especially noticeable. While I’m a bit more fond of toys that offer more slickness (like glass), this is easily a good replacement for some of my favorite g-spot toys becaues it reliably hits the spot – and it does it well with more plushiness than the rigid materials.

Showing the flexibility

While the Doc Johnson Platinum Silicone TruSkyn Tru Curve Dildo does offer a base, it may not be the best strap-on dildo out there. This is mostly because of the short length. While it has the base that would make it stay where you want it to stay, it doesn’t have a lot of length to it. It’s workable, but be aware that, once added to a harness, you may not get a whole lot of length for shallow sex positions. To make the best use of the length and design, I’d recommend positions that allow deeper access designed for g-spot pleasure.

As this Doc Johnson silicone dildo is made of pure silicone, cleaning this pink toy is a breeze. It just requires some warm water and anti-bacterial soap. Sterilization works just fine with boiling water or a water/bleach solution. I’d recommend using a water-based lubricant with this dildo, but some silicone-based lubricants may be safe for use with it. Just make sure that you do a small spot test near the base to ensure that it’s safe. Make sure to keep this toy in some sort of bag when not being used. The tacky-ness of the silicone tends to pick up a lost of dust and hair. A quick clean or rinse gets rid of most of it without any issue, however.

Overall, if you’re looking for a good silicone dildo that’s plushy, flexible, and will still hit the g-spot (that’s rare), I’d really recommend the Doc Johnson Platinum TRUSKYN Tru Curve dildo. The length doesn’t lend itself well to strap-on play unless you’re particularly cognizant of it, but the dildo itself is well-made and still quite affordable. Definitely worth considering. Thanks to SheVibe for providing this body-safe g-spot dildo for my TruSkyn Platinum Tru Curve Dildo review.
