LELO Gigi 2 Vibrator Review

LELO Gigi 2 Vibrator

Known as one of the biggest luxury sex toy companies, LELO has now come out with the “new and improved” version of their well-loved LELO Gigi vibrator. A vibrating version of the constantly-recommended LELO Ella g-spot toy, the LELO Gigi 2 with new features and an increased power level. The LELO Gigi 2 is equipped with a fully rechargeable battery, and it comes equipped with 8 vibration settings. It’s 6.5″ in length with a width around 1.5″.

Like all LELO toys, the LELO Gigi 2 vibrator packaging is gorgeous. LELO never skimps on packaging, and the Gigi 2 is no different. The vibrator itself comes in a sturdy, plain black box with a lift-off lid. This box is covered in a slip-cover cardboard box that provides information about the vibrator itself. Inside the box, you’ll find the vibrator, a drawstring pouch, the charge, an instruction manual, and the warranty information. It also has a small sample-sized pouch of water-based LELO lubricant.

Curious about what’s different between the original LELO Gigi and the LELO Gigi 2? The LELO Gigi 2 includes a silkier silicone, an entirely waterproof design (without the annoying waterproof cover that the older vibes had), a couple new vibration patterns, and most importantly: they added more power! The LELO Gigi 2 has stronger vibrations to provide better pleasure when you need it.

They also seem to have shortened the vibrator a small bit from the original LELO Gigi as well. It isn’t a huge difference, but with the new charging system, you’ll notice that the control panel area gets slightly smaller in length. Since the LELO Gigi 2 uses a non-covered, waterproof port, it doesn’t require the extra space and silicone to require a charging port cover like the original LELO Gigi did.

However, aside from that, the physical features seem to be about the same. The LELO Gigi 2 is still made from that gorgeous, luxuriously-soft silicone that LELO toys are known for. It seems to be a thin layer of silicone that covers a harder material – probably plastic. I’m not complaining. This method means that vibrations transfer really nicely through the silicone. The control panel and handle is all made from plastic, and it feels really comfortable in the hand. Everything about the vibrator screams “luxury” – including this silicone that’s some of the silkiest out there.

Making it easy to use without worrying so much about batteries, the LELO Gigi 2 is rechargeable. Much like all of the LELO toys, it can be plugged into a standard wall outlet to charge the vibrator. As it has the new-standard of LELO charging that offers a waterproof design without requiring a silicone cover, the charging port just gets plugged straight into the vibrator without worrying about covers. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the vibrator to use it for 4 hours. I’ve left it alone for over 2 months to find that it still has plenty of charge to play with without having to recharge it; like most LELO toys, it has an impressive stand-by time.

One of the things I love most about the LELO Gigi 2 (and the original LELO Gigi) is how perfected the design is. It’s literally a clone of their LELO Ella – but equipped with vibrations. The LELO Ella is known as one of those dildos that helps a lot of vagina-owners, including newbies, hit their g-spot for the first time. The LELO Gigi 2 is no different – except it is equipped with even more intensity as you can turn on vibrations when you want. I find that it can hit my g-spot, but it requires using a specific angle. Once I’ve gotten accustomed to that angle, it’s really easy to use and the rigid design allows for a lot of g-spot pleasure without the toy “giving in” to pressure. Instead, it stays nice and rigid to stay exactly where I want it. I’m certainly not going to complain at all about the shape of the toy. LELO has a good shape with the LELO Ella and Gigi 2, and they haven’t messed with a good thing.

Now, for the moment you’ve been waiting for: how do the vibrations compare to the original LELO Gigi vibrator? They are noticeably stronger than the original LELO Gigi vibrator. I don’t know if I’d agree that it’s 100% stronger like the marketing copy claims, but it definitely feels noticeably stronger. However, be aware that they still aren’t earth-shattering vibrations. As a lot of people don’t require earth-shattering vibrations for g-spot stimulation, this might be just fine for you. However, if you were hoping to use it as a clitoral vibrator as well, you may find yourself wanting higher intensities. I’d say that the highest level is going to be enough to get most women to orgasm clitorally without too much issue, but it certainly isn’t the strongest of the LELO vibrators – even with this new design.

Much like most LELO toys, the vibrations are quiet. You might still be able to hear them in the same room, but you won’t be able to hear them outside of a closed door with any ambiant noise. Especially when inserted, the LELO Gigi 2 stays pretty quiet.

Since the new LELO Gigi 2 is waterproof, it has become a bit easier to clean as well. Since you don’t have to fuss with the charging port cover as the toy is entirely waterproof, it’s a breeze to clean. Use warm water and anti-bacterial soap for regular cleanings, and the insertable portion (only!) could be placed in a water/bleach bath for sterilization. It’s also really easy to use this vibrator with a condom, so that can reduce cleaning times. It’s compatible with all types of water-based lubricant though I find that very little (if any) lubricant is required if the body is really lubricated on its own. Some silicone-based lubricants seem to work fine with it as well (I use Wet Platinum with no problem). The silicone is a very silky type of silicone that doesn’t stick to hair or fuzz,

Overall, the LELO Gigi 2 is a welcome upgrade to the standard LELO Gigi. The pure waterproof feature is a lovely addition that makes it well-worth choosing it over the original, but the added vibrations are where the pleasure is at. It may not be worth upgrading your current LELO Gigi unless you wanted to buy a new vibrator anyway, but if you’re thinking about purchasing the original Gigi to save some cash, it’s worth splurging a bit more to get the new, upgraded version. The LELO Gigi 2 is known as one of the most-loved g-spot vibrators for a reason – it works. Thanks to LELO for providing this luxury vibrator for my LELO Gigi 2 vibrator review.
