JimmyJane Form 6 Vibrator Review

JimmyJane Form 6 Vibrator
JimmyJane Form 6 Vibrator

The JimmyJane Form 6 is a silicone vibrator made by Jimmyjane and sold by Adult Sensations. This vibrator is about seven inches long and over an inch and a half at the widest point. It’s waterproof, and charges wireless through the included charging base. It includes two different ends for stimulation however you prefer it, and it’s available in a black color or a pink color.

Like usual, JimmyJane did a good job of packaging their silicone vibrator. The outer box is white and displays pictures of the vibrator along with the features of the vibrator. Inside this outer box, there’s a sturdy, inner, white cardboard tray that houses the JimmyJane Form 6, the charging dock for the vibrator, the lid for the charging dock, the instructions, and the charger for the dock. The packaging is nice and pretty, but since the charging dock pretty much takes care of storage, there’s really no reason to keep the entire vibrator’s packaging around.

The design on the JimmyJane Form 6 is pretty simplistic, but it works. It has two different ends. Both ends are silicone, and between the “ends” is the little steel portion ring that you see around the vibrator. This portion is where the charging port hits to allow it to charge the Form 6 vibrator. There’s a seam that runs along the sides of the vibrator, and it’s more noticable at some points than at others. Unless you’re really sensitive to seams, though, it shouldn’t be an issue. The silicone of the Form 6 vibrator is pretty slick, and your fingers can run along it pretty easily, but it still has drag to it, and I recommend using some lubricant with this vibrator for the most comfort when using it.

How discreet the JimmyJane Form 6 Vibrator becomes with the lid on

The JimmyJane Form 6 is a rechargeable vibrator. Like all of the promotional material states, it DOES charge wirelessly. There’s a large, plastic base that the vibrator sits in. This base plugs into the wall outlet, and then the vibrator charges when its laid on the base. This actually works surprisingly well, and compared to some of the other Jimmyjane charging base (which fight me tooth and nail), I’ve never had a problem with the Form 6 charging base. While charging, the lights do flash, but if it bothers you, the Form 6 vibrator’s charging base also comes with a lid, so you can easily slip the lid on top of the base, and it turns the entire thing into a small, black, plastic box. This is also really discreet if you want to leave the vibrator charging while you’re out and about. On one charge, it can last up to six hours. The charging process is really simple, and I’m impressed by it.

To control this vibrator, there are three buttons on the shaft of the vibrator. They’re located towards the metal strip on the longer of the two sides. There are two buttons that control each end of the vibrator while there’s the button between the two that allows you to control the vibrational patterns. As explained below, these buttons are insanely hard to push.

The vibrations on the Form 6 vibrator are okay. I must admit that I’m not blown away by them. They are moderate. They aren’t buzzy, but they aren’t rumbly either. They just kinda…exist. The vibrations feel nice, but they don’t appear to be strong enough to be orgasmic. They might be strong enough for some, but they aren’t for me. The vibrations aren’t too quiet, but they aren’t awfully loud either. They can easily be heard in the same room, but they are hard to hear outside of a closed door.

I have to admit that I was extremely let-down by the Form 6. WHO designed these buttons? I’m not sure what to make of it, but when I can’t even switch the vibration patterns without feeling intense pain in my thumb, I think it means that your buttons are way, way too hard to press. By the time I finished, unsatisfyingly, using the vibrator, my thumb was completely red and hurt. The buttons are beyond too hard to press. They are about on-par with the amazing annoyingness of the JeJoue control buttons. The buttons alone are reason enough for me to hide this in the closet.

This is really compounded by the fact that, in order to turn the vibrator on or off, you have to hold down any button for two seconds. If you tend to move around or turn off the vibrator during use (to get up and do something or something), holding down a button for TWO seconds with a lubricated hand? It’s so, so difficult. I can’t even explain how much frustration this caused me.

There’s also the problem with insertion. The larger, longer end seems like it was designed to be inserted for use. After all, that’s why it has the larger girth and the longer side, right? Well, this is also the side where the buttons are located. So if you want to change vibrations or settings, you have to take the vibrator out, and while it’s presumably covered in slick bodily fluids/lubricant, try to attempt to press down the buttons. It really sets everything up for a messy nightmare.

However, after that, there’s the part that the vibrations are kinda loud and they aren’t all that strong. They aren’t enough for orgasm, and they aren’t really quiet enough for me to consider this a discreet toy either. I like the shape that the vibrator has going on, but the vibrations are just too underwhelming for me – especially when partnered with the insanely-difficult buttons. It’s not something I’ll really be touching again.

One of the things I love most about the JimmyJane Form 6 is the rechargeable base. This base works fantastically. Unlike other Jimmyjane vibrator bases, this one isn’t finicky. As long as the vibrator is in the base, it’s charging. Plus, the lid means that this base can automatically function as a storage box for the vibrator. So not only does it charge in a hassle-free way, it’s just pretty and functional. For example, assuming this was my favorite vibrator and I used it daily, I just have to pick up the vibrator when I want to use it and place it back onto the charging base when done. There isn’t a huge hassle of wires or trying to locate where the charging wire went like I’d have to do with other vibrators. So if you love the Form 6, the charging base design makes a huge difference.

Something to keep in mind is that the Form 6 now has a new generation: Generation 6. While I don’t own the newest of the generation (this is Generation 2), the new Generation has a smaller and different charging base. This base is the largest difference between the different versions. So if you want a smaller base (with no lid), look into the latest generation. Otherwise, you’d be fine with sticking with the larger base (and most likely cheaper), second generation Form 6 vibrator.

To clean this waterproof vibrator, you’ll want to use warm water and antibacterial soap. As this vibrator is completely waterproof, you can easily just clean it without being too concerned about harming it. It easily can also be covered with condom if you want to use it with multiple partners. It’s compatible only with water-based lubricant, so keep that in mind, and for storage, it’s best to keep it in the charging base (with the lid on) to keep it protected from any elements when not in use.

Overall, I can’t, in good faith, recommend the Form 6 vibrator to anyone. Up until the point when I actually used the vibrator, I was in love. The charging process was simple, the packaging was great, and the design of the sex toy was amazing. But then I had to use it. And the vibrations aren’t strong enough and the buttons make me absolutely homicidal. If you think you’ll have a better chance with it, I know some people love theirs, but I honestly have to question their sanity a bit as these buttons are one of the most frustrating things I’ve dealt with in awhile. Thanks to Adult Sensations for providing this silicone luxury sex toy for my Form 6 Vibrator review.
