Papillon Massager Vibrator

Side View

The Papillon Massager by California Exotics is a two speed vibrator for general body massage and shallow insertion. The toy also aims to promote breast cancer awareness; with every purchase of the Papillon Massager, a donation is made to the Living Beyond Breast Cancer charity.

The vibrator arrives in a plastic box with the product name printed on it in purple. On the box you will also find yellow butterflies, which personally I feel clash with the purple. On the side of the box there is a little information regarding the Living Beyond Breast Cancer charity, and a website link for more information, www.lbbc.org .

The toy is a two speed vibrator controlled by a soft push button. It takes two AAA batteries, which aren’t provided. It is made from purple coloured plastic with a yellow butterfly printed on it; again I’m not overly keen on the yellow used. The plastic is rigid and coated with a velvet matte finish. The toy has a groove running round it, where it has been put together; this can trap dirt but doesn’t seem to cause any irritation. The vibrator isn’t very large, being 4.5 inches in length total, with less than 4 inches of girth around the tip. The bottom of the toy is flared and rounded to fit into the palm of a hand. At the base you will find two textured rings, which are meant to be pressed to release the battery compartment. The battery compartment is a little tricky to open, as you need to apply a little pressure. Once opened, simply pop in two AAA batteries, and close the cap so it meets the main body. I’ve found that once batteries have been inserted into the toy, the cap won’t close completely. I’ve asked my partner to give it a go, as he is stronger than me, but after trying a few times we just can’t get it to seal completely. Even though this toy is designed to be waterproof and does have a thick rubber seal, as it won’t close tightly around the seal, I would advise against submerging it. The massager does still work, even though the cap doesn’t fit properly.

The vibrator has two settings, which are fairly powerful for a toy which uses two AAA batteries. The vibrations are rumbly and rather loud, so I wouldn’t recommend using this toy if you are in shared accommodation. The button is almost impossible to accidentally knock, as you need to apply some pressure when changing the settings. I’ve noticed that the toy does use batteries up rather quickly, and when they are running low the vibrations drop significantly.

When using the toy I found that it worked best as a general body massager, rather than as a more intimate massager. The rigidness of the plastic and the rounded tip work well together on achy muscles, and the flared base gives you good control when massaging. I feel that this would be a good couple’s toy, as its size is easy to handle and it’s perfect for foreplay and general massage. It’s also an option for those who are new to using vibrators, thanks to its small size. When using the toy as an insertable, I found its shaft a little too short to stimulate my G-spot. The toy’s vibrations are focused at the tip, and as they are stronger than on some toys, I was still able to gain a little pleasure when teasing the vaginal entrance and vulva. I found the tip of the toy to be a little large for pin-point clitoral stimulation, and the vibrations weren’t strong enough to make me orgasm. As the toy is slightly curved it can also be comfortably placed onto the clitoris during sex, adding a little extra stimulation.

Cleaning the toy is easy, but be careful not to get water into the battery compartment. I guess it might only be mine which doesn’t close completely, and others might not experience the same problem. When cleaning the toy, make sure you pay a little additional attention to the groove running round it, as this can trap dirt. The toy doesn’t attract dust, so you can leave this toy in or out of its plastic packaging.

Overall, this massager is a good little vibrator which is great for all over body foreplay. It would be a good couple’s vibrator, particularly if you are new to using sex toys. But if you are looking for a stronger vibrator, aimed more at vaginal penetration, then I would advise trying a different style vibrator. It is great that the company is promoting breast cancer awareness and donating a part of the toy’s profit, so I feel it could make a nice small gift for someone. I purchased this vibrator for my Papillon Massager review.

Guest Sex Toy Review: Amazing Hot Heart Massager Review

Amazing Hot Heart Massager

Packaging

The Amazing Hot Heart Massager set by Lover’s Choice is a set including a reusable heat-up heart, massage oil, and a mini booklet on how to perform the perfect massage. The kit is designed to be bought by couples, and has everything you need to experience a relaxing and romantic evening with your partner.

The massager arrives in a rather large box with instructions printed on the front and back. The packaging states in various places that the product is reusable, and has instructions on how to do this. Unlike some heating toys, the massager heats from a chemical reaction, rather than batteries. To use the product you simply bend a metal disc, which is floating around inside the product, and the liquid starts to heat-up and crystallise. Once the toy has cooled, you will need to boil it, and let it cool to room temperature before you can use it again. Simply boil the product in water for 10 minutes, dry, and put it away ready for your next massaging session. Personally I’m not too keen on the box this set arrives in. It’s just a little too big considering the size of the items within, and also it has a clear plastic window revealing the product, meaning that if you aim to buy this as a surprise gift, you will need to gift wrap it.

Inside the box you will find a massage heart. Printed on it are instructions on how to use the toy, and reuse it. On the front of the massager there is ‘XOXO’ printed in white. The liquid inside the heart is a pink colour, and will turn a candy pink once crystallised. Provided in the pack is a sample size massage oil sachet, which unfortunately isn’t resealable. The massage oil is made from all natural ingredients: almond oil, safflower oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, and citrus essential oils. Inside the box is a mini massage guide, with tips on how to set the mood, breathing techniques, and how to massage with your hands and the massage heart. Again, you will find instructions on how to use and reuse the heart inside this booklet. The booklet really is general knowledge on how to perform a massage, and unless you have never performed or seen a massage take place, I doubt you’ll find it particularly enlightening. I would’ve liked some images showing hand techniques, etc.

Crystallised

Using the heart is easy; simply flex the metal disc and it instantly starts heating. The liquid will start to form crystals, going from a mushy snow-like texture, which as it cools it will start to feel similar to compacted snow. The outer plastic cause’s very little drag, even when oils aren’t use. It can feel very hot during the first five minutes, and may feel too hot to rest in a single place for long. It stayed hot for around 15minutes, and then keeps reasonably warm for the next hour. I found that as the crystals became firmer, it felt too uncomfortable to massage really achy areas.

The massage oil is a handy addition to the kit. It is very runny compared to some oils, but works nicely with the warmed-up heart. It hasn’t caused my skin any irritation, which normally is a problem for me, as I have very sensitive skin. I did however find the smell a little too citrusy. It took awhile for my skin to absorb the oil, leaving a slightly greasy sheen.

Liquid

Reusing the heart is easy. Simply put it into a pan of boiling water for 10 minutes, remove and dry and then let it cool. It should be ready for you to use the next time, where you repeat the triggering steps by flexing the metal disc inside. Even though the heart is reusable I do wonder how long it’ll last. Sometimes the metal disc can seem quite sharp, and as the plastic outer material isn’t overly thick, I am worried it will rip.

Overall, The Amazing Hot Heart Massager is ok, I wouldn’t really say it’s amazing as far as romantic kits go, but it’s nice and convenient. The heart is a nice addition to the standard massaging tools I’ve used, especially as I prefer warmer massages, rather than having icy cold hands and lotion rubbed on my back. It does help ease away some aches and pains. However I wish it didn’t crystallise as firmly and quickly. I feel that unless you are a complete novice when it comes to massages, I would avoid buying this kit. The guide is very basic, and the oil isn’t the greatest. You are still able to purchase this massage heart without the addition of the oil and booklet; it’s also a fraction of the price.

I purchased this Massager from Lovehoney for my The Amazing Hot Heart Massager review.

Guest Sex Toy Review: Fun Factory G2 Stranger Vibrator Review

Fun Factory G2 Stranger

The G2 Stranger

The G2 Stranger was my first toy made by Fun Factory. I had heard lots about the quality and design of Fun Factory toys, so I was excited to receive this addition to my toy collection, even if it is one of the older Fun Factory models. This toy has inspired me to try out some more of the Fun Factory range, as it has several qualities I liked. It does have a few elements that I didn’t really get along with, but I’m hopeful that these have been improved in the new Fun Factory products. The toy arrives in the standard cream and red Fun Factory packaging. There is a window, revealing the toy within the box, which is held in place by a clam shell style case. On the side of the case there are a few pictures suggesting that the toy is waterproof, silicone, battery powered, and with steadily increasing vibrations via a dial. There are also three other images with crosses through them; one of a nose, one of an ear, and one of a buttock. Now I’m guessing that these suggest the toy is odour free, is quiet, and not intended for anal, rather than isn’t intended for insertion into the nasal canal, or ear. The back of the box opens up with a magnetic latch, and on the cardboard flaps there is further product information.

Fun Factory G2 Stranger

The Stranger is a high quality silicone vibrator, that isn’t intended to appear as either a phallic shape or animal. To me, the toy looks like a tentacle shape, which has been cutesified through its candy violet colouring. The toy is 8.5 inches in length with 6 inches of insertable shaft. The girth is wider than some toys, starting at 3.5 inches in circumference and slowly graduating to 5.25 inches of girth. The tip of the toy is slightly curved and is designed to stimulate the g-spot. Further down the front of the shaft there are eight raised bumps, which get larger towards the dial control. On the back of the toy there are two ridges, and the brand name moulded into the silicone. The silicone is rather velvety, and produces a little drag when rubbed against dry skin. The motor of the toy can be found towards the bottom of the insertable shaft, leaving the rest of the shaft flexible.

At the base of the toy there is a removable battery compartment, with the dial controller on it. The battery compartment can be difficult to remove. You have to firmly press down in several places while pulling the bottom off. I wasn’t able to open the battery compartment, but my partner managed it ok. The toy takes two AA batteries, which are easy to pop in once you get the chamber open. Even though the compartment was very difficult to remove, it does at least reassure me that the toy is waterproof.

Fun Factory G2 Stranger

Showing the battery compartment

The vibrations can be turned on by turning the dial clockwise or anti clockwise. The vibrations will start at a medium strength, and the more you turn the dial the stronger they get. The toys vibrations aren’t overly strong compared to some, but they travel through the shaft well. The vibration motor is situated towards the base of the toy, and they travel towards the tip; some of the power behind the vibrations is lost the further up the shaft they travel. I’m not really that keen on the dial controller; I’ve found that while using the toy you can accidently move the dial, thus changing the vibration strength, and sometimes even turning it off. It takes a bit of patience and fine tuning when selecting the vibration strength you desire. I’ve also found when the toy is resting on a surface while turned off, that if the surface has any strong vibrations travel through it, these vibrations can trigger the vibrator to turn on.

When using the toy I didn’t find the girth much of a challenge, but I would still recommend using additional lubricant. The silicone seems to soak up natural moistures as well as lubes. When the toy is lubricated the tip is easily inserted. During insertion you can feel the raised bumps stimulate the front of the vaginal wall. I’ve found that the tip sometimes manages to hit my G-spot, but it’s not enough to cause me to experience an orgasm. The shape and size of the toy feels very comfortable when inserted, and does offer the sensation of fullness that some softer silicone vibrators lack. I think this toy would’ve worked better for me as an insertable toy if the vibrations were stronger towards the tip, and if the dial controller wasn’t so sensitive.

The toy is great for external massage. The raised bumps feel very relaxing as they rub against the vulva, leading my body to become more aroused. The vibrations from the toy aren’t strong enough to cause me to experience a clitoral orgasm, but the sensations are still enjoyable. The tip of the toy also doesn’t have enough control; due to how flexible the silicone is, meaning that it was difficult to get pinpoint stimulation.

Cleaning the Stranger is no problem as it is waterproof. The silicone does attract lint easily, so make sure you place it in the storage box or a bag. The box is rather large, so you’re probably better off storing it in something else.

I do like the Stranger’s shape, and how the raised tentacle-sucker-like bumps internally stimulate the vaginal entrance, and externally massage the vulva. It’s just a shame that the dial is so sensitive, as a better vibrator controller would have made this toy a success, even though it doesn’t stimulate my G-spot or clitoris as much as I would like. It’s not always about reaching climax when using a sex toy, but I still feel that this shape might work better for some. So if you are looking for a good quality, soft silicone, textured vibrator with moderately strong vibrations and a somewhat filling girth, then this is a toy worth considering.

I purchased this vibrator from Nice n Naughty for my Fun Factory G2 Stranger review.
